Like the very popular Baby Faces
video, Hi Daddy!
features real babies doing real-life baby things: remarkable to parents, insignificant to strangers, but infinitely fascinating to babies' peers. A 20-month-old was enchanted by the images of babies with their fathers. Picture a very busy day at J.C. Penney's photo studio where the subjects are all daddies and their babies. Incorporated over these images are such classic tunes as "ABC," "Old McDonald," "Jimmy Crack Corn," "Skip to M'Lou," "The Ants Come Marching" (sung to "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again"), "A Tisket, a Tasket," and, surprisingly, an old spiritual. Don't look for a lot of ethnic diversity, but part of the proceeds of this ELC, Greenville, S.C.-based production goes to the city's Ronald McDonald House. --N.F. Mendoza
