Book Description

September 1997
Move over Midnight Oil, Jimmy Barnes and INXS. New kids on the block - silverchair, You Am I and Spiderbait - are just three of the young bands making it big in Australia and overseas. This is an in-depth look at the record-breaking young Newcastle band, silverchair, that places them within the context of the explosion of talent on the Australian music scene. The author goes on the road with these three key bands and interviews their members. The book's release will coincide with the band's major new albums.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Topic...Pourly Written, December 26, 1999

I enjoyed the book, I'm a major silverchair fan. My problem with it is that it will be talking about somthing and skip to another time and go back. It's timeline keeps bouncing and gets confusing. It gives the 'chair info but could have been written better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hi Fi Days = Excellent, March 12, 2000
This review is from: Hi Fi Days: The Future of Australian Rock (Paperback)
I'm a huge fan of silverchair - them being my favorite band. Not to mention, I'm also a big fan of Australian music. I found this book to be incredibly informative, and just all around awesome! It gives you insight on some cool stuff that you might've not known. If you're a big fan of silverchair, like I am, then I would most definitely recommend purchasing this book.
