They're not just flashlights, they're works of art,

I can only hope they hold up as well as they are beautiful. I bought some at Costco today (sorry, Amazon) in the three pack, and they looked so intriguing I had to by two packs. When I broke them out of the plastic packaging, I have to say I was most impressed. They are sealed by O rings at both ends. There are two brightness settings. The first is as bright as some nine-LED flashlights I bought a few years ago even though only four LEDs are lit. When all 14 are lit, they're damn brilliant.
They have a complete feel of quality. Like I said, I hope it's not all superficial. The only thing missing as a way to attach a lanyard. But other than that, I doubt you can do much better.

Exceptional flashlight, lumens and value,

We live, camp, play, fish, hunt and use flashlights year round in Washington state as a family. These flashlights compare to high end D cell flashlights keeping in mind what you need to illuminate at night or in the outdoors. Camping, road side assist, hunting, power outages and close proximaty lighting needs will be more than met by these units while being a more "Green" flashlite using LED's for illumination and requiring no bulb changes as long as you own it. Long life battery use, compact yet INTENSE WHITE LIGHT flashlites and a water resistant housing.
Can't go wrong and I will buy 2 more packs for my home, camping and hunting use.

Well built, bright, and compact...,

Now and again you hold something in your hands and just feel the quality. Just the right balance. Just the right heft. This is my new favorite flashlight. It fits my hand well, with machined grooves allowing my fingers to wrap around the shaft with tactile confidence. The battery compartment (3 AAAs, arranged in a carousel) is sealed with an o-ring. The top bezel is too-- except that unscrewing it serves no purpose, since _nothing_ accessible is replaceable underneath (including the front plastic lens.) It's a great value even at the retail price charged here, though you can find them cheaper elsewhere. Did I mention that the high setting is blindingly bright? Pros: Inexpensive, well built, bright, great for confined spaces and close up work. Cons: Cannot twist bezel to focus beam, cannot replace thin plastic lens if broken, not so good at a distance as it tends to wash out all color. But really, for its size and its price, who cares?

Defective design, won't last,
This review is from: BluMaxx Hi-Performance Flashlights Emergency Disaster Preparedness Survival Kit Light Camping Flashlights Pack LED High Power
I bought this at Costco 2 years ago. Within 6 months, the battery holder in the first one shorted out. Now, 2 years later, the last one has broken. Every one broke in the same way - the plastic holder is not designed well, and when it flexes, the batteries short out. This causes the case to melt a bit, and in two out of the three, the (name-brand) batteries leaked.Beyond that, the light is barely adequate. On low, 4 LED's come on. On high, the outer 10 come on. Wouldn't it be be nice if all 14 came on? The case seems well built, but that's all these have going for them. The design is defective, and BluMaxx should recall them. But good luck trying to find whoever makes them. I'd return them to costco, but I didn't save the receipt.

Awesome little flashlights,

These little flashlights are great. I use them all the time. I keep one in my bag for use at work and two around the house and they're constantly in use. I use them with the Sanyo Eneloop batteries and the battery life is outstanding. I used one the other day and forgot to shut it off and came back three days later and even though the light was dimmed it was still on. I've had them for over a year and they are extremely rugged, they have been dropped on the ground, dropped in a tank of water and left for some time before I could recover it, left outside and various other things and they still work flawlessly. The lights have two settings, low and high, and even on low the flashlights are plenty usable. Regarding the review by the gentleman who said that they were dim I have no idea what he is talking about. I can stand in my back yard at night and illuminated objects that are 20 feet away. It's not like a MAG light that you can use to shine on something 50 feet away like it's a spotlight. For the size and cost the flashlight gets an A + in my book and I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a small highly durable bright flashlight.

Great product!,

These flashlights are much brighter than the more common 9-LED flashlights. As I write this, Amazon does not have them available, but they can be purchased for five dollars each (fifteen for a set of three) elsewhere. I ordered direct from the manufacturer, but the big box stores have also had them from time to time at the fifteen dollar price point.
They are very well built and I would say the only downside is that they are bigger than the more common 9-LED flashlights. I would think a bigger flashlight would accept larger batteries, but it still only takes three AAA batteries, the same as the smaller flashlights. However, the quality of these leaves no room for improvement, and the brightness can't be beat by anything else I've seen near this price point. Highly recommended!

Solid construction. Very reliable. Batteries last much longer. Great price. Only problem is that they have a tendency to disappear so I stock them in quantity.

Garbage!!,

This review is from: BluMaxx Hi-Performance Flashlights Emergency Disaster Preparedness Survival Kit Light Camping Flashlights Pack LED High Power
These lights are garbage. The light is so weak that it barely outshines a moon beam. Oh, yeah, they look nice in their heavy metal case, key word here is heavy, but the blue hued LED's are worthless. I tried to see my oil dip stick on my car at night and could barely see where the oil was. There are much better lights out there for less money. I used mine as a target and put a .223 bullet through the lens and out the bottom. That made me feel better about the money I wasted on it. And for those wondering if the batteries were the problem, I tested some new batteries with my ohm meter to make sure they were good and it still didn't shine worth a ...
