Although the story lines can be kinda whacked they also can be very cute and whitty. It can go from a simple idea with the Cats and Kaz to an all out "full on riot Manga Robot explosion" This is a light hearted simple show that has a fun and enegenic appeal. The designs and backgrounds are great. Highly recommended for all ages.

Never before in the history of filmmaking has such an amazing spectacle been produced for the sheer delight of adults and children alike. Bold in design and brilliant in execution, this animated extravaganza is guaranteed to send your senses reeling in delight through it's cornucopia of color, design, animation, and good old fashioned storytelling. It's the fish-out-of-water story of two Japanese women, Ami and Yumi, as they experience life as only two rock stars can: fast, furious, and fun! Most times thrilling, many times surprisingly poignant, this animated adventure is one trip that we all can afford to take time and time again.

The greatest cartoon EVER!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi - Let's Go! (DVD)
I have watched so many cartoons, but this cartoon is the best in the world. This 'Happy Go-Lucky' cartoon is the funnest cartoon for young children, especially the adventures that Ami and Yumi had from running away from their crazy number one fan, Harmony, to getting cursed with 100 years of bad luck. I thought this DVD was gonna have all the episodes of season 1, but it's just as well, I'm recording ALL the episodes from ALL the seasons. Overall, this cartoon is the 'beat of the bay.'

I absolutely love this show. I'm 19 years old for crying out loud. Too bad they didn't have this cartoon when I was 8! hah, I also own the 'Rock Forever' dvd as well as alot of other HHPAY goodies.
The only problem I have with the dvds is there aren't much extras... =( but thats not that big of a deal because I can watch this dvd over and over again and never get tired of it. They just don't show much of this cartoon on tv much anymore as they used to. I'm not sure why. Maybe they are gearing up for something so awesome. Whatever the reason, I can't wait. In the mean time pick up the dvds and watch your favorite re-runs whenever you like!

I never thought that the duo behind the Teen Titans theme song would have their own TV show. Come to think of it, I never thought they were that popular - here in America and there in their homeland.
Either way, this is only one of two Puffy Ami Yumi DVDs released so far. The near-anime series features Puffy in a candy-colored cartoon environment along with their pint-sized tightwad manager Kaz and their pet cats Jeng Kang and Tekirai. In the first volume, you will find twelve episodes including: "Dis-Harmony" - The girls are stalked by their number one fan. "Collect All Five" - Ami goes collectible crazy ! "Puffylicious" - The girls open their own restaurant. "The First Rule of Fan Clubs" - The duo gets too much fan service. "Ami's Secret" - Yumi has no idea why Ami joined the circus. "Taffy Trouble" - They're in a real sticky situation at the candy factory. "The Amazing Kaz-aam" - Kaz becomes an amatuer magician. "Cat Nap" - Kaz wants to go to sleep, no thanks to Jeng Kang and Tekirai. Plus, keep your ears clear for at least one of their insane hits running throughout the episodes. Also, besides the animated characters and their wild adventures, you'll get to meet the real Ami and Yumi themselves at the start of each show. And it's all direct from their Tokyo hometown. Special features include a backstage look at those live-action bits and a pop-up trivia track of the episode "Dance a Go Go". And one more thing, if you see Ami and Yumi sometime, tell them "C.N. fan" said hey.

BEWARE,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi - Let's Go! (DVD)
This show is horrible. Beware of its awefulness. The animation is dreadful, it is not funny, and it only shows how annoying and nasty rock stars are. I saw two episodes only to rate this as THE worst new show at this time. Horrible.
