I purchased these hiking boots for work. I am a paramedic and am required to wear black shoes/boots that can be polished. I am an advid boy scouter and enjoy hiking boots. Initially I was concerned about my online purchase since this was the only black hiking boot I found that I could polish. My concerns were quickly abolished after receiving this product. They are comfortable, fit perfect and work great on all surfaces. Following my first 12 hour shift wearing these boots, I did not notice any aches or pains from breaking them in. It was like I have worn them for months. I have recommended these boot for other medics in our communtiy and would recommend these to anyone in the EMS field. Extremely comfortable, waterproof, works well on all terrains and surfaces, cleans up great. Best pair of work boots I have purchased in my 16 years in the EMS field.

I bought the Hi-Tec boot from a sporting goods store on the way to visit some family and friends. I was initially seeking a boot that I could use for riding my motorcycle. I looked at the selection available and to my surpise, these were the simplest and lightest pair I found. I bought them and the fit was perfect right off the bat. I was skeptical and then kept them on for the duration of my drive and arrival to my family's home. Approximately 6 hours later, they still felt comfortable. This was just amazing for first time use. After a couple of months of use, the boots are still extra light, comfortable and sturdy.
I received another pair for Christmas and again, the fit, look and style were just right. I highly recommend this item for anyone who needs a lightweight, dependable and comfortable shoe

These are my favorite functional boots (boots I use outdoors - not party boots).
I do lots of hunting, fishing, camping, etc and these boots are great.
They're comfortable, heavy duty, have held up great, and have great traction.
I highly recommend them.

They're good boots, and comfortable, but while they were very waterproof for the first couple of months, they have become less and less waterproof as time goes by. Not a real big surprise, but I was hoping the hype would turn out to be accurate. They're still decent boots.

I've used these boots for over a year now. They've been through snow in the city, all over the mountains of North Georgia, and I even took them through the Everglades. For me, waterproof hiking boots are essential for backpacking because your feet are the last thing that you want to get wet! There are a ton of non-waterproof hiking boots on the market and everytime I see them on the trail I cringe. I have a pair of the chocolate and they have really held up. They still look great after all of the abuse I've put them through. I'm still impressed with how light they feel on my feet. If you're serious about being outdoors and getting a value on a great pair of boots that will be comfortable, waterproof, and protect your feet then these are it.

These boots were awesome. They clean up very nicely and can be worn out to informal affairs.

More importantly though, they are durable and very comfortable. I trekked through Peru for two weeks without breaking them in and I never once felt discomfort.

My favorite part is how incredibly easy they are to slip off, especially after hiking for 6 hours. 6 stars!

As other reviewers have indicated, the fit and comfort of these boots is excellent, also maintains good water resistance even with prolonged exposure to wet environment. My only complaint is that the relatively soft leather gets scratched and scraped easily, not just scuffs but actual scratches into the leather itself, especially in the toe region. Would not recommend these for rough trails if you care what they look like afterwords.

I like the quality of the boot and it's look. It's light with support but I believe it's over priced (referring to the original price)! The "ion" mask doesn't work all that well or at least not to what I excepted! I work for UPS and I always look for a quality boot with fair pricing!

I bought these to replace my beloved Trezeta's that I can no longer find in this style. They came in 2 days and thankfully the fit is right on. I rarely buy shoes for myself over the net so I had some concern there. They do seem a little lighter than the Trezetas and seem to ventilate pretty will so far. The fit and support are also comparable. Can't attest to any water proof virtues yet, but I will update if there is a problem there. Overall I'm very pleased with them after two days.

I've had these boots for over a year now. They are holding up well. They are very comfortable and the fit is close to perfect (15 D.) I can't attest to the effectiveness of whatever water resistant coating came on them, because--as with any boots that I buy--I slapped a couple of coats of polish on them as soon as I got them.

The leather does seem thin, but I haven't had any issues because of it. Scuffs polish right out as with any smooth leather boots.
