I have owned a lot of boots, but this is one of my favorites. In fact, I love this boot. When it arrived I thought it might take a really long time to break in because it was stiff, but after wearing this boot for only a few days it softened up in all the right places, but remained rigid where needed to protect my feet and ankles. I have hiked with this boot through snow, rain and mud, dry trails, and over solid granite and it has performed at 100%.
This is a great looking boot that is tough as nails while comfortable as a hiking shoe.

I bought these Cascadia XCM eVent Hiking Boots a few months ago. I really liked them and they fit great but I have a problem with the waterproofing. I got them wet for the first time last week and they did not keep the water out. I stepped in a shallow stream, the boots got wet on the outside and stayed dry inside.. initially. An hour later, my socks where soaked. I tested them again in the bath. Same problem. I stepped into a few inches of water for 2 minutes. The boots stay dry on the inside initially but after an hour of sitting on the carpet the insides are soaked. I would not suggest wearing these if there is any chance of precipitation. I had cold wet socks, squishing with water for 4 hours before I hiked out of the woods. Not good.

If you want a great pair of boots stop your search here.
These fit, and feel great.
After long hikes I have no pain or soreness.
Tough and great looking I have put these to water, sand, rock, muck with no issues.
I wash them off with a hose.
The only change they should make is add a webbed tongue.
I paired these with some rock mountain gaitors.
I love these boots and hope they make them forever.
I have owned a lot of boots and these so far are the best.
