4.0 out of 5 stars Hi-Tec Multiterra Ultra Mid
These "shoes" are some of the best I've owned. The feel is comfortable even though they are a little on the snug side. They seem to be a little narrow. To be fair, they aren't "broken in" yet.
The heel is a little different. It feels as though it's cut a little short compared to the work-boots I've been wearing. These boots are much lighter than the...

I got there boots from a friend who had worn them for about a year and they felt preaty good. Although after using them for a few months, the quality of the boots started to show. The linning has come appart, the laces are destroyed and for the water proofing, well, after about 5 seconds in water i could feel watter seeping into the toe area of both my boots. Also on the...

Also on the waterproof front, i wish the toung was fully gusseted, there are about 2 inches of toung that isn't gusseted.

For my next hike i will need new foot beds beacuse after a very short time, the little support in them was gone.

These boots are also not very breathable at all. I am shocket to say that full grain lether would be better and cirtinaly more watter proof.

They are water-proof.
Overall, I like them.

It is now November 2010 and these boots are holding up nicely. I've worn them almost every day since I bought them.

The lacing lug pulled out on the first pair at first wearing.

The replacement pair were at least 1/2 size too small, killed my feet after one days wear.

2nd replacement 1/2 size larger - still killed my feet especially at big toe joint. I've never had a sizing problem with any other shoes or boots.

Appear to be well made and otherwise exactly as described.
