Hi-Tec Multiterra Targa - for cycling,
This review is from: Hi-Tec Men's Multiterra Targa Hpi Adventure Sport Shoe (Apparel)
I purchased the Multiterra Targa Hpi as replacements for Multiterra Low shoes. The Targa shoes are used for bicycle commuting and bicycle touring. My bicycle pedals are fitted with half clips and I tour with a single pair of shoes. The Targa Hpi shoes offer good torsional resistance and a firm sole where it contacts the pedal. The toe box is sufficiently stiff for cycling. The ventilated sides offer improved cooling in warm weather. The Targa Hpi shoes absorb less water in wet conditions - the shoes incorporate neoprene components in place of the open cell foam and fabric of my previous shoes. The shoe does not have a separate tongue beneath the laced section, this seems to increase the structural rigidity of the shoe. This should be a benefit for cycling and hiking. The elasticized lace system is well suited to cycling purposes.
