I discovered these boots in a high priced Camping/outdoor shop. After trying them on I knew I wanted them but was not willing to pay the extreme high price. When I found them on Amazon for less than half the price of the local retailer I just had to buy them. These boots are so comfortable and supportive. I wore them constantly when on holidays in Scotland and I never had sore feet after 12 hours/day every day for 3 weeks. There is room for orthotics if needed and the inner sole is cushioned. They almost propel you when walking which makes movement easy and smooth. The soles have great grip making you feel secure when walking on gravel or loose surfaces.
The shoes themselves are well made and waterproof/repellant keeping feet dry.
I would definately buy this product again.

I bought these rugged looking boots
To save my feet on photo shoots
And though they look good, I suppose
They're kinda stubby at the toes
    Waterproof so far but yet
I haven't got them soaking wet
I like the lacings and the price
But they mark the floor, and that's not nice

    Better worn with sturdy socks
These shoes are not your driving mocs
They chafe at back with ankle flexing
    Something I find extremely vexing
    However, for the purpose made
I have no cause to be dismayed
The grips are good, they keep me dry
For hiking? Probably worth a try.

These boots are very comfortable & very sturdy!!! They are very much like the boots I had several years ago that I loved very much; I'm very glad I bought them & am very thankful they are just like the boots I lost!!! If you are looking for winter boots or hiking boots these are the boots for you!!! They do very well in snow & climbing up mountain trails!!! They have a waffle traction which is great for not slipping on mountain trails & ice!!!

I got a pair of these for myself and husband for a trip to Alaska. We needed waterproof and comfort. These boots met our needs. We arrived in Ketchikan to rain and pretty much had rain/wet the entire week. Our feet stayed warm and dry the entire trip. The boots were comfortable right out of the box and were much lighter in weight than other non-waterproof boots I had. I didn't test the waterproofing in anything over 1 1/2 inches of steping in water which were puddles and constant rain. I don't know what would happen if you needed to spend your entire day in 1 1/2 inches or more of water. I do highly recommend them. They were also easy to clean off.

I bought these boots unconsciously just a month before setting on a hiking trip to a 3000+ mts (23+ kms) mountain... (it is highly recommended to wear broken boots and shoes since new ones can be tough to walk on) I stepped on then everyday trying to break them and setting my feet to them before going, but I was constantly told by experienced hikers that I might still have problems with them.
I went anyway with them and I did not feel them as rough as new shoes were supposed to feel like. The insole was enough to provide for a little cushioning. At 14kms into the walk I did feel my big toes complaining... but I seriously can't tell if it was because of the boots or the distance climbed (since it was my first time hiking in steep and uneven ground with rocks and mud...) note: a little medical tape around my fingers eased the pain and probably prevented blisters on my feet.
Eventually I got to the camp and them the peak at the next day with no more discomfort from the boots. The next day I walked downhill back to the base, only that we took a different route that took us through "muddy hell" as our feet and part of our legs sunk into mud at some points... truly glad that these boots had ankle support since they never slid off... unlike the shoes/boots of some of my companions. The next day we passed that muddy route again to reach the base and head home. Only souvenir from the trip was a purple nail of one of my big toes.
I wasn't going to sink then in a stream and have my feet wet for the rest of my trip so I didn't thoroughly test that feature, but they do appear to be waterproof since I did crossed some small streams and it did rain quite a bit during the hike.
Overall In happy that I got them. As I mentioned above they probably meant all the difference on my hike... (well them and the medical tape too :P)

I LOVE these boots and the price was great too. I am just overcoming a broken ankle and bought these to do some walking around Yosemite. (I am not up to hiking yet) They are so light, fit well and offer a lot of support. I HIGHLY recommend them.

The good: These boots are comfortable and true to size.

The bad: After about 5 uses the soles on both boots started to detach from the main body of the boot at multiple locations. If you look at the bottom of the boot, the sole is made largely of a grey foamy material that completely shreds upon impact with any rough terrain. At best these boots might be alright for a little light hiking as they are comfortable, but they are absolutely terrible quality and they will not last through any serious hikes-- better to invest another $20 in decent quality boots that will last more than a month.

POOR QUALITY, BAD INVESTMENT, NOT FOR SERIOUS HIKING

These boots will fall apart! I was extremely disappointed and will never buy from this brand again.
