5.0 out of 5 stars Great boots!
Only comment: sizing is a little tricky. My shoe size is 6.0 and I had to return a previous purchase because it was too small.I had to get a 7.5 pair. Other that that, the are comfortable and with great ankle support and traction. I am a very satisfied customer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worth a try, November 16, 2009

For basic hiking boots these are definitely worth a try. I'm still breaking these in but for stability they're much better than my other higher priced, big name brand boots. There's not a ton of padding in these but with my mid weight wool socks they're just fine. They're very good for balance on rocks and roots along the trails as well as grippy. So far they've kept my feet dry as well although I haven't been able to give them a true solid test through a stream. I'm very happy with them and have been from when I took them out of the box. I did change the insole however. I needed a little more arch support than those which came with the boots offered.

I've now been using these boots for a while now and I love them all for one problem, I get awful blisters on both heals despite wearing band aids and padded moleskin. They may work well for someone with tougher heals that I.

4.0 out of 5 stars My search is over!, May 27, 2010
By
I have flat feet (with a narrow heel & wide toes) that like solid, firm support WITHOUT a hard, over-pronounced arch-shaped support digging into the sole of my flat foot. Flat, soft insoles make my feet and instep ache painfully after about an hour or so of walking/standing, while high arch supports chafe and dig. I tried almost a dozen other higher and mid-priced hiking shoes, and then came across these... the moment I put them on, my feet knew! Firm support, with comfortable, highly supportive contours in the shape of the outsole and insole... comfort and support all the way!! Wore them through late Fall, and Winter 2009-2010-- my feet were warm, dry, supported, and attractive through trail hikes and dress-down days at the office! On the market for another pair so when the ones I have wear out (won't be before three to five years of heavy use are up-- they're durable in construction overall, though the outer layer of leather on the toe of one has a nick in it), I won't have to go on another frustrating hunt for solid, supportive, warm, comfortable, dry rugged shoes again!! DEFINITELY recommend for someone with similar foot concerns!!

5.0 out of 5 stars hi-tec hikers for women, April 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was going to purchase these hikers from the retailer that sold them. They wanted $127.00 for them. I went to Amazon and saw these very same hikers for only &87.00!! I purchased them immediately!! What a bargain and what a great find. These hikers are very lightweight, very comfortable, and I absolutely love the way they look. They are very fashionable. I even wore them with shorts. Went hiking, shopping and to work with them. They are wonderful!...Andrea

4.0 out of 5 stars Sizing runs small for Hi Tec, January 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Love the look of these. However I was disappointed that they did not fit. I have always purchased size 9 in Hi Tec womens boots. These seem to run almost one size too small.

I love these boots ! They were comfortable right out of the box, seem really well made and have a great sole. It doesn't pick up small stones in the tread like my last pair of hiking boots did. The sizing seems to run correct and I like the ankle support. I can't say they are the most beautiful shoes I own, but they sure are the most comfortable!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Irregular, March 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Irregular. Toes did not match each other. Different color/shade per boot. I ordered the same boot from another source and they had defective bad quality leather. Nice style and fit; too bad they make them so crappy.

This is a comfortable boot and looks nice as well. It is roomy enough to wear with thick socks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight, Comfortable, No Pain!, February 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recently purchased this hiking boot for every day work because of it's apparent ankle support. All references indicated it runs true to size, which it does. It is very lightweight. This is one of the few boots/shoes I didn't have to "break-in"; just put them on and go! It has good arch support and is well worth the price. I have worn boots of many types, but this is one of the best all around "feel good" boots/shoes I have ever worn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Boots, January 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am not a hiker, just wanted low boots with traction for rainy or snowy weather. These boots are light, not too stiff, and comfortable. Traction is great, and they're good in snow so far. They fit a little big, but that may be to allow for thick socks or an extra pair of socks. I really like the way they look, too. The price on Amazon was half the price at sports stores. I am very satisfied with them, and would buy this brand again.
