These boots are stiff--be sure to allow plenty of breaking-in time! After the break-in, they are comfortable, sturdy shoes. I wore them hiking in the Grand Canyon, and they provided good support for the rocky terrain. My only complaint is that my feet get hot and sweaty when I wear them, but I suppose that's to be expected for a waterproof boot. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and I can't wait to put more miles on them!

Bought these for our recent trip to Costa Rica and wore these hiking in the rainforest. Wow! Wonderful boots...never hurt my feet, even for first-time wear! Very light weight and comfy!
