4.0 out of 5 stars Boot value, January 1, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hi-Tec Women's Outlander Hiking Boot (Apparel)
I brought three pairs of this boot for my wife and my two daughters for hiking in the Grand Canyon. They loved them, and they served their intended purpose well. The boot is light weight, but certainly not flimsy, requires little breaking in, and as with other Hi-Tec products, is an exellent value. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most comfortable boot I have ever worn., May 8, 2009
By
I bought these boots just before a 2 week gold prospecting vacation in the high desert and they were the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. They did not require any break-in, are easy on and easy off, and provided excellent support, tho I did add arch supports. My feet never hurt or got too hot, a first! They were also reasonably priced and very attractive. Sizing may run on the small side - I usually wear 6-6 1/2 so bought 6 1/2 and they fit great. I would definitely recommend these to anyone and would buy again. I will be checking out other styles of the Hi-Tec brand

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent hikers, January 17, 2009

This shoe is par for the course for Hi-Tec. Excellent support, durable, comfortable to wear for hiking or just around town.
I have tried other brands of hikers, Columbia, et al, and there is no comparison to Hi-Tec. The others wear out quickly and the support does not last. I am active and on my feet all day and Hi-Tec hikers allow me to do what I want/need to do without worrying about my feet.
I would highly recommend this particular hiker as well as the Hi-Tec brand in general.

I really like the support, comfort, and width offered by these hiking boots. They also tend to stay tied pretty well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hi-Tec & Geriatrics, December 30, 2009

Have worn Hi-Tec boots forever & they last almost as long. I wear out the sole before I wear out the boot. Use them for walking, hiking, & most of all, for my hillside gardening. Cannot wear clogs or tenny-runners on the hill as there can be alot of slipping & sliding on loamy gravel. Have never had a seam fall apart. Extra pair of boot strings would be nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent hiking boots, August 7, 2009

Bought for my 12 year old daughter and have already given them a test-drive. Great boots for a great price. She finds them comfortable yet sturdy enough to provide support and comfort on the trail. This is in fact my second pair of Hi-Tec Women's Outlander hiking boots (an older daughter has a pair), so I can also say that they are built to last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hiked some remote areas of Scotland with these boots.., February 3, 2010

This is the second pair I have purchased to replace my overly used first pair. I can't say enough wonderful things about these hiking boots. I bought my first pair last year to go hiking in Scotland. They held up under some soggy and rough terrain. They are definitely waterproof since I did a lot of walking in the rain and they kept my feet warm and dry. I love the color combination of gray with blue. These are not just your average somber looking hiking boots. They are fashionable in addition to being practical. I do hope Hi-Tec continues to make these hiking boots because I will continue to purchase them in the future to replace my current pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely comfortable boots & don't need to be broke in, October 9, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these boots right before a vacation to Yellowstone. I did not break them in before the trip and didn't need to they were comfortable from the start. My feet didn't hurt any not even after a busy day of hiking. I did order them 1/2 a size larger than I normally wear based on previous reviews and I'm glad that I did they were a perfect fit.
