Nice little cooler,

This review is from: moshi Zefyr Hi-efficiency Cooling Pad for MacBook and Macbook Air 99MO015201 (Silver) (Personal Computers)
It could be better in a few ways, but this cooler has a lot going for it. It's small and with the wings slid back together is even smaller. It's very light weight. It's even cool looking.
The fan doesn't seem like it does much good, so I usually don't bother plugging it in. (When you do plug it in, you can plug another USB into it.) I mostly use this if I'm working in bed, where it not only dissipates at least some of the heat but it also keeps the air vents from getting blocked.

Not for MacBook Air,

This review is from: moshi Zefyr Hi-efficiency Cooling Pad for MacBook and Macbook Air 99MO015201 (Silver) (Personal Computers)
Pro's:
1. Becomes slightly warm, presumably by drawing heat from the MacBook and not from it's own fan motor Con's: 1. Does not fit well with a MacBook Air (partially obscures video-out port) 2. Somewhat awkward to setup (each time used, not once) 3. No "stick" to keep it and the Air from slipping out of place with each other 4. Does not balance properly with an Air, i.e., requires weight of one's hands on the keyboard to keep the Air grounded 5. Roughly as loud as the MacBook Air's fan at full RPM--but the Zefyr is always at full RPM, unlike the MBA exhaust that adjusts to need Summary: It doesn't do much, what little it does is done awkwardly, and it looks nice when not in use.

Do Not Buy This - Looks Good - Does Not Work,

Horrible rip off. The Mac Book Air does not balance on this and the bottom rocks. The fan is poor and there is no on or off switch. You have to plug it in to the one usb port on your air. BUT that usb port is special. And the pass-through on the Zefyr is not special - so you can't plug a super drive into the pass through - only into the Air itself. The idea is great but it's like nobody even TRIED to use this thing with an Air! PLEASE - don't buy this just because it looks so cool. We have to stick together and when something doesn't work at all we have to vote with our dollars and make manufacturers and reviewers hear us. I have the Mac Book Pro version and it's fine - though it still needs an on/off switch. The Pro is bigger and fits on the Zephyr right. BUT IF YOU HAVE AN AIR - PASS AND DON'T FALL FOR THIS. And shame on the reviewers who clearly didn't use the thing with an Air . . .
