I bought this battery for my Hp Secial edition L2000 - It fits fine & works as stated. Takes awhile to charge and gives me about 4 hours run time until it is down to 10%. I expected to get around 6 hours from this extra large battery. I am told the battery has to be conditioned by running it down a few times. So I am not going to make any judgement at this time.
Will report outcome in an update.
Battery hangs lower from battery compartment because of its larger size but serves to elevate my laptop in the back which allows it to cool better. I was happy to find this battery and it seems to be worth the money even if I continue to get around 4 hours!

Got this for my HP Pavillion DV5000 - works great!! At first the battery only lasted about 2 or 3 hours, then i realized i had to turn my screen brightness down a few notches (windows usually does this automatically when on battery, I must have turned that setting off long ago) and now it lasts a full 5 hours of heavy workload - awesome!

I read all the reviews before purchase so I took a chance based on them and I am not sorry I did .....I have a HP DV 5000 and it fit perfect and seems to work real good...don't know how long the battery keeps its charge yet looks like at least 3+ hours so far will update latter..... only thing I can add is that this is a BIG battery it will make your lap top set up in the back I knew that by other reviews I just did not know how much it would make it set up in the back I have had other battery in the past the was bigger and did the same but this one is even bigger than that...my daughter likes the fact that in makes the lap top lean that much she says it is better for her when she is typing on it....so all in all very worth it plus it helps cool the lap top by raising it up like that.....just keep in mind this is a BIG one...if your looking for it to fit flush don't buy it.....and it does have two rubber bumpers on the battery bottom witch is nice does not let the lap top slide around....

I ordered replacement battery for my HP laptop. The battery has performed well, the price was right and the supplier was prompt in sending it. No glitches.

The battery is not an exact physical replacement for the battery that came with my HP L2000. It extends below the bottom of the laptop and raises the back of the computer slightly on flat surfaces. However, it fits correctly, functions correctly and is very robust. :)

This battery did not work - period. I do not recommend this battery. I recommend that you pursue a battery from a different supplier.

This battery has been a perfect fit for my HP DV 1000 computer. It has an excellent charge retention quality to it--about 3.5 hours is basic word processing or 2 hours of video watching. Not bad for a 5 year old computer. It has given my old computer new mobility and a new lease on life!

Now, why did I give Amazon 3 stars for a defective battery? Let me say that the battery was advertized as used, but it was not. It was never opened. It probably was in stock for the last 4 to 5 years instead. .. Unopened. I saw the low price and took a chance on it. A lot of times items like that pay off. This one was dead on arrival. I called Amazon, they shipped me a free UPS return label. I shipped it off to Amazon. Two days later it arrived at their facility, I got my money back and a promotional credit too. Can't do business any more consumer friendly than that as far as I am concerned. Just for the record, I turned around and ordered another battery from Amazon.

Great price for this long lasting battery. We have an HP Pavilion DV5000 & it is comatible. It does stick out from the bottom a little, but it ends up angling the computer nicely. I would definitely recommend this battery.

As I said, it's great. The only thing that I don't like is how it fits in my HP ze2000. It wobbles back and forth when you touch it (from the outside). That's the only thing though. So far (after the ten-hour charge), I've had a 3-hour life on 'Balanced' Mode (Windows Vista) with mostly low brightness and no audio. So, it's definitely better than a 1-hour life battery on 'Power Saver'.

Buy it now because the price is low! (Mine was like $36.00 total)

Don't buy it if you are looking for a PERFECT fit [On the Hp ze2000 anyways] -it fits, but it fits a bit floppily. And the color has a tint of gray.

Overall: Get it now if you are looking for compatibility, function, and the cheap price, but don't if you're looking for perfection.
