Hi-quality laptop battery for Dell Inspiron 1200 2200 Series

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this battery, seeing as there were scant reviews here and having been burned by cheap quality replacement batteries in the past, but this battery has proven very good so far. I purchased it to replace an OEM battery in a Dell laptop, which is used heavily during the summer months for our car club. The laptop itself is subjected to outdoor use, and this battery has proven very reliable this past year. It provides hours of use on a full charge, and there has been no sign of degradation of the life of the battery to date. Fit perfectly, too, unlike some other generic batteries I've seen before.

My Inspiron 2200 battery quit after 6 years of hard use. Back then Dell sold both NiMH and LiIon batteries, NiMH cost less. The replacement is Lithium, reasonable price, and much longer life, more than 4 hours per charge. The original never went more than 2-1/2 hours new, down to less than 1 hour at the end. A big improvement.

One concern: the AC power unit gets hot when charging the battery. Never did that before. So far, not a problem, but something to keep an eye on. The new battery may need more current to charge.

I bought this for an old laptop(Dell Inspiron 1200). I have only had the battery about a month, but it seems to be operating well. I purchased the used laptop with the idea that I would mostly use it during power outages but I now find that it serves well as a second computer for my household. Windows XP starts as soon as I turn my laptop on. With my old battery, I would get warnings upon startup about my battery charge being low. I think this battery was a good deal.

This battery was direct replacement for our laptop. It fit perfectly and worked as advertised. I would recommend this product for others.

The picture shows an NiMh battery that is 9.6v and 4500mah. The battery I received is actually a L-Ion 14.8v 4400mah and will not work on my Dell Inspiron model 1200. The picture was of the battery I actually needed, but that's not the battery you'll get if you buy this battery. Be careful!

I bought this battery to repair a friends laptop and it is still running strong after about a year. Seems rather sturdy for a laptop battery.

The product was delivered promptly, and in good condition. It works fine, except that the dimension is slightly larger than the OEM battery. Some effort is needed to insert or extract the battery. One important attribute of battery is its life time. Since it has just been installed, it is impossible to report on how long it will last. This is the reason for the 4-star rating.

Dell part number matched the posted info. But When I recived the part the voltage was not correct and the battery did not work.

Product arrived quickly and battery lasts approx 3.5hrs under normal use. It has brought my laptop back to life again!

I ordered a battery for this old laptop a year ago from a different outfit. it was DOA. this battery was new and holds a charge as advertised. It helped me breathe new life into an old product.
