For True Bassheads ONLY!, October 10, 2006

I have 2 12" MTX 7500 subs. They're rated at 400 RMS each. I bought this amp thinking that the wattage rating was overstated. I was WRONG! I haven't bench tested this amp but I can say with a good degree of certainty that @ 1 ohm this beast puts out 2000 WATTS! I almost cooked the voice coils on my speakers. I am presently looking to sell this one and downgrade to the 1206D. If you're looking for a lot of power at a good price, this is it. If you don't need this much power, don't-get-this-amp.
For the people that don't believe me. When your bumpin' your favorite CD, showing off to your friends, and suddenly smell smoke coming from your subwoofer, just remember one thing. I TOLD YOU!

BXi2006D. Quality amplifier., July 12, 2007
This review is from: HiFonics BXi 2006D Mono Block Amplifier (Electronics)
I recently purchased this amplifier to power two '07 WMD12D4's. Upon receiving the amp I connected it to two Volfenhag ZX4712DVX in a 1.25^3 ft. box, with .25^3 ft. displaced. The amp promptly smoked the Volfenhag subs with a 30Hz test tone. Now connected to a 1 Ohm load, the WMD12D4's, the input sensitivity set to the output on my head unit and properly EQ'd. The amplifier doesn't even warm up with prolonged usage. I recently ran the unit at roughly 65-70% output for 4 hours without stopping and the amp remained cool to the touch. The remote for this amp is of excellent quality as well. The knob turns very smoothly and the amp responds well to small changes in knob position. This is an excellent amp for the price.
