I purchased two of these from VM Innovations on Ebay. At first we had them in a sealed prefabricated box until I could build a vented enclosure. They were very unimpressive and did not do much more then make some noise.

I built a 4.5 cuft Net ported box tuned to 32-33hz. They are recieving 150wrms each via a JBL 300 watt refurb amp purchased factory direct. Total spent was approximately $150 for the subs, amp, enclosure, and wiring. You could not do better with $150. These subs do a good job on the low notes and have amazing output for $30 subs off of 300 watts.

Do not hesitate to purchase these subs for a great budget system. My only reccomendation is to make sure you built a nice slot ported enclosure for maximum output. 4-5 cubes tuned anywhere from 32-40hz depending on listening preferences will work best.

This product is worth the money spent but I had to take the plastic covers off the back cause they rattled soo much. Plus the dual 4 ohm kinda sucks either 2 ohm or 8 ohm which most mono amps arent 2 ohm stable mono. 8 ohms is a big step away from 4. Also by removing the plastic cap you void the warranty but the sub sounds alot better. Still a cheap sub. My one kicker comp 12 hits as hard as two of these. I also use the same amp. A lanzar opti 2500

Well, for $30 and some change; this is a good budget buy.
It replaced a failed "Dual" 12" sub and performs better than it's predecessor.

I am pushing it with a lightning audio 75X2 amp (Bridged at 140 watts).
I have this in a sealed box (2 cubic feet).
This is a Dual Voice Coil sub, but I am only using one coil.

Again; for the money; a good buy. I am happy; I have thumping bass again......
As always; thanks Amazon!

...WELL,..HERE IS A DETAILED REVIEW ON THESE SUBS..I DIDNT BUY MINE FROM THIS RETAILER..BUT..THESE ARE UNBELIEVABLE SUBS FOR THE PRICE..IVE HAD JL,KICKER,CERWIN-VEGA,PUNCH,ORION,..AND CRUNCH(which is made by hifonics)..ALSO HAD SUPER PRO,PYLE,AND ROCKWOOD "JUNK",... THE ONLY SUBS THAT SOUNDED AS GOOD AS THESE WERE MY JL'S,ORIONS AND KICKERS..THEY ARE MADE AND LOOK ALMOST LIKE JLw3's WITH POLY CONES,RUBBER SUSPENSION, AND WOVEN SPIDER..PLUS THE ADDED BONUS OF THE COOL LOOKIN CROME BASKET..(WHICH MEANS NOTHING TO ME)....BUT..I HAVE 2 OF THESE BAD BOYS IN A SLOT PORTED BOX,HOOKED TO A PLANET AUDIO AC1000.2 AMP (BRIDGED),PUSHING 700 WATTS "RMS" (350 TO EACH ONE) IN MY GRAND CHEROKEE.. THEY POUND SO HARD I CANT SEE OUT OF MY MIRRORS,THE REAR WIPER BOUNCES OFF THE BACK WINDOW,I SET OFF CAR ALARMS,VIBRATE WINDOWS AT THE GAS STATION...AND MY FOG LIGHTS ON THE FRONT BUMPER VIBRATED TOWARDS THE GROUND AND HAD TO BE RE-ADJUSTED...YUP,NO JOKE...ONLY MY JL'S,ORIONS AND KICKERS WERE THIS LOUD WITH SUCH CLEAN DEEP BASS...BUT I PAID $150-240/EACH FOR THOSE...THESES ARE NOT WHAT I HAD EXPECTED AT ALL...MUCH BETTER...I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH A LOOSE PLASTIC MAGNET BOOTS LIKE SOME OTHER PEOPLE HAVE. I CAN BE HEARD FROM OVER 2 BLOCKS AWAY WITH THE WINDOWS UP AND 1/2 MILE WITH THEM DOWN...YOU PROBABLY WONT WIN MANY CONTEST WITH ONLY 2 OF THESE BUT IM SURE YOU WOULD WITH 4 OR 6 OF THEM AND A 2000WATT AMP..THEY DONT REQUIRE TOO MUCH POWER TO HIT HARD.. 700w RMS SOUNDS PERFECT FOR BOTH OF MINE...THESE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT YOU IF YOU BRIDGE THEM TOGETHER WITH THE RIGHT POWER..I PAID $190 FOR MY AMP,TWO SUBS,AND THE BOX... IT'S AS LOUD AS MY BUDDYS "ALPINE TYPE-R" SYSTEM HE SPENT OVER $1000 FOR....HA-HA.....YEAH THATS KINDA FUNNY TO ME...IM NOT 17 ANYMORE SO I DONT NEED 6-15'S TO SHOW OFF NOW...Read more ›

After reading a review about how these "sound" more preferable
than alot of much more expensive units,
I replaced my cheapo woofers with two of these.

I was not ready for the surprise and shock these woofers gave me..

A set of JUST two HiFonics, sounded more detailed, deeper,
AND LOUDER than my FOUR older woofers COMBINED!!!

Shocking factors, compared to my previous speakers:
Louder,
Deeper,
More sensitive,
Detailed,
Quality of construction,
Fit and finish of Rear unit was as excellent as the front.

The DUAL sets of coil terminals, were of HIGH QUALITY..
NO special plugs or crimping or soldering needed,
as they are a spring loaded, PUSH BUTTON type
Just push terminal button and stick wire into hole.

I paralelled the terminals and the sensitivity and LF extension is amazing.
I don't think you can get better bass at double the price.
These are keepers for me..

I was a bit skeptical when I saw these online. With all the car audio companies merging, I know quality can go downhill. I was running 2 JL Audio 12's through a Punch 400 and blew the subs in a week! I was not impressed to say the least. So I needed a quick fix on a budget because I had already spent $1000 on the whole system (and the wife was not impressed). So I saw these and figured why not. They are much lighter than the JL's and claim to run more power. So far they sound great! The basket seems flimsy so I'm not sure how long it will last before it begins to rattle. I'm thinking about buying some more for my DJ business to have as spares! If there was an equation for bass per dollar, these would equal an amazing deal!
