I'm a Ford tech. I bought this because I am sick of all the IDS issues. There are a few issues but all things considered NGS PC is an excellent product. The information on the product on the Hickok website led me to believe this product has flash capability. It does not. That is only with the $500 flash option. But I still would have bought it anyway. The power balance test is pretty much useless while road testing. Only readable at steady rpm with no load. Does not have injector flow test capability or relative compression. Everything it does have functions perfectly with no locking up or linking issues. Do not have to wait around for network tests or retrieval of vehicle data, simply enter model and year and choose module and it links instantly. I only have to use IDS on about ten percent of vehicles and when I get the flash option it should be pretty rare that I ever use it. This is essentially a NGS classic on a laptop, so if you loved the NGS you'll love this.
