This is a great collection of all of Etta James' recordings cut for Modern Records when Etta was just a teenager. It includes classic hits from the R&B charts including 'Tuff Lover', 'The Wallflower' as well as many other sassy recordings. The sound on this CD is outstanding as it has been mastered from first generation master tapes. Several of the tracks including 'Tuff Lover'were recorded in New Orleans with the Cosimo Studio house band which also played on hits by Little Richard, Fats Domino, Lloyd Price and many others. Buy this bargain priced CD and enjoy the rock'n'roll sounds of 1950's young America.
