Hugh Fraser does a very credible job, with all of the accents and people in the book, especially Hercules Poirot - almost as good as David Suchet !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The usual Christie attention to details and twists and turns gives a satisfying twist to this audio., March 5, 2007
Agatha Christie's HICKORY DICKORY DOCK enjoys Hugh Fraser's warm voice as it tells of an outbreak of thefts at a student hostel, an odd series of missing or vandalized items, and eventually, murder. The usual Christie attention to details and twists and turns gives a satisfying twist to this audio.

Hercule Poirot is presented with a strange case of theft at a student hostel. Seemingly random and unrelated items are missing. What starts out as a harmless prank, ends with murder. This mystery kept me glued to the end, trying to guess the culprit without any success. I enjoyed it thoroughly, though some of the details escape me. There were too many items taken and not everything accounted for, and I am not sure I understand the motive behind spilling the ink. I felt the wrap-up was far from watertight and far from complete. Note I was using the Kindle version, which makes it more difficult to skip back and forth and review events.
