I bought this product so that I could remove the antenna from my 1500 goldwing. It works quite well but has slightly less reception than the stock wip antenna that comes on the goldwings. I felt it was a good buy for the price and the performance is reasonable. I wouldn't buy it if you are looking for boosted performace over stock.
It is fairly small and the cable was of reasonable length.

I purchased this for my 1985 Camaro. I mounted it under the dash toward the front. I tested it thoroughly on top of the dash and underneath the dash, and it worked exactly the same either place. The dash on this car is made of some kind of urethane, so there is no metal covering it. It works noticeabley better with the amplified wire plugged in. I plugged that wire into my "power-antenna" wire on the radio so that the amp doesn't run when the radio is off. Reception was at least as good as stock antenna. Very happy with the product.

I expected greater gain from the antenna. Labored for an hour to setup the power supply only to find out no noticable gain in the signal. I ended up not using the power supply as it just did not make any difference. The product from the supplier came from Canada and took almost a week to arrive which was no problem.

this product is highly recommended just plugged it in through the back of my oem acura integra radio and got really great reception thanks again and great product.

Installed this in my 67 Impala and played with it for weeks in different locations in the car.In fact I fooled with it so long I could not send it back for a refund... If anybody wants it I'll sell it for 1/2 current Amazon new price. Maybe it will work for you...

I installed the hidden antenna in my 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS right under the dash factory cut speaker grill with plenty of view through the windshield. When I connected my radio and tried it out - everything was great. Good reception, selection, sensitivity. It was a different story once I started the car and was driving. I think there is interference from the GM HEI that overpowers the FM reception. It sounds like little or no reception through the radio. I can't use this unit while driving. Once again, it works fine with the car shut off but loses reception when the motor is running and/or the car is being driven.

Installed on a custom vehicle. Works great! Compact design made for an easy install. Great AM / FM reception.

Works like it should - I hid it and it gets the signal - what more could you ask for?

The reception is not spectacular when compared to other antennas, but I did not put mine in the best of locations for specific reasons. It works and does exactly what I ask of it.

At best, this antenna works with about 25% less reception than my stick antenna. Not only is the placement of the antenna critical, the routing of the wiring greatly affects reception as well. My vehicle is a Dodge Ram truck. With the stock antenna connected, I tuned the radio to a station that had just a little static. I tried different positions on the windshied until I determined the best position was about 1" from the top oedge of the windshield. As I routed the wire, I noticed it reception was degrading. Once the wiring was al tucked under the headliner and routed down the pillar, reception had been cut by about 50%. I played with the wiring for a while, but determined that the only way to improve the reception was to leave the wire exposed. I've been driving around with this antenna installed for about a week and it's unbearable. My head unit no longer picks up enough signal to lock into any HD stations unless I'm at a complete stop. So, I'm going to keep my stock antenna.

I suppose maybe if you live within a coupe miles of a big city area or right under a radio tower, you'd have no problem. Otherwise, stick to stock unless you have no choice or you're willing to let the wire dangle down your windshield and sit on your dash.
