Book Description

Hidden Arizona March 2003
Hidden Arizona perfectly epitomizes the Hidden travel guide philosophy. The author covers with great detail and a discriminating eye the popular spots (witness large sections dedicated to the Grand Canyon, Phoenix and Sedona) but also tells of hidden spots just down the road that travellers would overlook or skip were it not for the guide's detailed descriptions and specific recommendations.

Editorial Reviews

Review

The Hidden guidebook series hot-peppers its pages with little arrows that point to a multitude of off-the-tourist-track sites.

2.0 out of 5 stars Hidden Arizona: Inclucing Phoenix, Tuscon, Sedona +, July 26, 2004

This review is from: Hidden Arizona: Including Phoenix, Tucson, Sedona and the Grand Canyon (Paperback)
The only things hidden in this book are the few-and-far-between listings for places that can't already be found in the AAA Tour Book. The layout and verbiage are bit more friendly but all in all, I found this guide book to be long on pat advice, (I.E. "Carry extra water when traveling in the desert") and short on usefull tips and interesting destinations.
Not bad if you aren't a AAA member or can't borrow the Arizona Tour book from one, but definitely far below my expectations.
This will be the first book I've ever returned for credit.
