"The queen of paranormal romance."
-USA Today

About the Author

I live in the beautiful mountains of Lake County, California. I have always loved hiking, camping, rafting and being outdoors. I’ve also been involved in the martial arts for years—I hold a third degree black belt, instruct in a Korean karate system, and have taught self-defense. I am happily married to a romantic man who often inspires me with his thoughtfulness. We have a yours, mine, and ours family, claiming eleven children as our own. I have always written books, forcing my ten sisters to read every word, and now my daughters read and help me edit my manuscripts. It is fun to take all the research I have done on wild animals, raptors, vampires, weather, and volcanoes and put it together with romance.

2.0 out of 5 stars A disturbing end to the series, September 22, 2009
This review is from: Hidden Currents (Drake Sisters, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the seventh and presumably the final Drake sister romance of the series...and much the way Christine Feehan introduced the series with mystical and spellbinding characters (anyone remember: Magic in the Wind) Magic in the Wind (Drake Sisters, Book 1) rather short, but still enjoyable...the series ends with a disturbing prose.

Stavros Gratsos, is a well-to-do Greek businessman involved in trafficking humans, Elle Drake must try her best to blend in with the social scene as she goes undercover to investigate. Yet, there is something strange about this man. Elle, now working under the guise of Sheena MacKenzie, is unable to use her psychic abilities on him - and thus unable to read his being. The book falls apart when the youngest Drake sister is forced to Stavros' private island.

Distraught and confused, Deputy Sheriff Jackson Deveau - the man that loves Elle, does all he can to find and return Elle to Sea Haven. Concerns are further raised when he learns that her six older sisters are unable to telepathically link to Elle. Will they be able to locate her? And if so, what has happened to her? Who is Stavros Gratsos? And how is he able to block their psychic abilities? I will stop there, but there are some very graphic and disturbing scenes coming up.

With all Christine Feehan books...the characters are drawn like an artist painting a masterpiece - and for this book that is a problem - the book also can overwhelm the reader with the number of characters in it - there are a lot! But the villain...Oh, the villain. The villain is one that is so depraved that all seven sisters (and more) are needed to bring his reign of sadistic terror to an end.

If you are new to the series, Hidden Currents (Drake Sisters, Book 7) is not the book you want. The characters and plot are so disturbing that you'll find yourself lost without having read the earlier books. If you are caught up with the series, then book 7 was a bad way to end a great series..............Skip it, and read the book I would highly recommend that blends mysticism and romance together flawlessly is JoAnna Wylde's novel Price of Pleasure-- Price of Pleasure -- that is, if you are one of the few that haven't read it yet.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, July 3, 2009
This review is from: Hidden Currents (Drake Sisters, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
I just read this book and I didn't enjoy it at all, it was not what I expected. The only good thing was the interaction between the sisters. I was really disappointed with the ending of the series and wish I had never read it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hidden Currents, July 4, 2009

This review is from: Hidden Currents (Drake Sisters, Book 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
I hesitated buying this book because I was suspicious of what was to come having watched the trailer and read the advanced synopsis.I ended up buying it because I felt compelled to complete the Drake Sisters series. Christine Feehan has been adding brutalization and rape to her female characters with increased frequency and I was afraid that was going to happen to Elle as well. Well it did and I'm sorry I spent the money to witness yet another degradation of a female. I realize this happens in life and it sickens me, but if I choose to be involved with the issue, it is not going to be when I sit down to "escape" in a romance novel.I have enjoyed past Christine Feehan books so much, but I know that if I want to continue reading her, I will have to witness this brutalization at least 2 more times to beloved characters. It's already been established that Ivory Malinov in the upcoming Dark Slayer September release was raped, and we have already witnessed some of Skylar's abuse. We obviously read these books because we want to experience the excitement and adventure of the characters' lives. Well, I no longer wish to experience brutalization and depravity at the hands of a sadist, even if there is a happy ending.I'm done with this author.
