About the Author
Michael Card has recorded more than twenty albums and authored or coauthored fourteen books, including A Sacred Sorrow and Scribbling in the Sand. Michael has also hosted two radio programs and written for a wide range of magazines. He has sold more than four million albums and written nineteen number one hits, including "El Shaddai" and "Emmanuel."

..Michael Card is one of the few who has the insight to find some. The subject of lament is a diffult one. How do we offer our tears, fustrations and sometimes anger to God as a worship offering. Michael Card deals with this subject with wisdom from the life of Job, David, Jeremiah and finally Jesus. I was fortunate to attend a retreat where Michael Card walked thirty of us through this book and the process of lament. The good news; God always shows up. When we are in a season of lament and then we come out, God's presence is finally most important.

This book was recommended to me by my Christian therapist when I was experiencing depression. The book ministered to me greatly. I highly recommend it for anyone who is going thru tough times and feeling that God has turned His face away from you.
I learned that tears are OK. Now I experience crying less often and found God again.
