4.0 out of 5 stars Loud and a mix of death metal., December 19, 2004
By casey "james" (st.pete, FL usa) - See all my reviews
Hidden hands of a sadist nation isn't a bad album. This being thier fourth album they've done a pretty well job of throwing down on the recording. There are alot of polotical view's from the bands perspective. It's a combination of death metal and hardcore. The opening song "the sadist nation" f*cking breaks your ears with angry metal. The songs are a bit similar at times from the rhythm of guitar's to some of the drum work performed. These guys don't mess around when it comes to sending a message. The song oklahoma is very intersting to listen to as the point stands out this band was arrested and held for hours in oklahoma by the feds for crimes they had not commited. Yes it is a bit hard to understand the lead singer's screams but give it a few run arounds. Its not that bad of a cd, other songs like vertitas, aequitas and for the soul of the savior are great tracks of just instrumental work. I highly recommend this album to anyone in the hardcore or metal scene. You won't be dissappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Political Views with a hardcore and metal mix=Winning combo!, October 26, 2004
By Precision18 "Peyton" (Indianapolis, Indiana USA) - See all my reviews
I just bought this cd today and i have to say that its the most unrelenting and brutal that I've ever heard. I know some people may disagree with their different points of view but this cd kicks undeniable ass! The singer is brutal and is familiar to Atreyu's Varkatzas but doesnt have so much of the guttural scream but still manages to conjure up strong feelings. The music is good and unlike most hardcore bands that use punk riffs this band goes for your balls with heavy metal riffs. This cd is varied and I love their musical lyrics. Now before you dismiss this band because of their political beliefs just realize of the times and era. Where living in a world of lies and these guys are singing and playing in what they believe in. This isnt a bad thing at all. And if you read the inside of the lyric pamphlet it hard not to agree with them. All in all this is one of the best cds Ive heard this year. Rock on!

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest Album EVER, April 18, 2007
By Corey (Honolulu) - See all my reviews
This album by Darkest Hour is probably the best album I have ever heard. They are pretty much the best band on the planet. Anyone who rates this album poorly is deaf. Seven Day Lie is a stand out song but the whole album is great. I listen to it everyday. Buy it now if you want to change for life.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointment
I guess I was expecting something more after hearing a few songs by Darkest Hour, namely The Patriot Virus and Sadist Nation. Most of this album is tedious and boring. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars A NOISY, VOICELESS ALBUM. With a bonus DVD!
NOISY, it is the type of metal that want to be heavy, the bad ones, the "Darkest", and the only thing they do is to play there instruments like animals and without any skill... Read more
