The key to understanding the Revelation as with all prophetic writings is
that they can never be fathomed until the advent previewed has occurred -
because that alone reveals the truth of the prophesy and holds the key to the
scriptures. Hence when it has taken place it is found that all the details of
the text appear crystal clear.
In verse 7 of the Revelation it is prophesied that at the time of Christ's
return 'every eye shall see him', which means that the advent will be
unmistakable in terms of the Knowledge. Most students consider this verse to
mean that the Incarnation of God will be recognized by all because of some
distinguishing sign - a luminous body, a resplendent visage, an enveloping
subtle physical aura that by its power impresses its image on the physical
consciousness. In fact, none of these versions correspond to the deeper
knowledge which direct experience in these mysteries gives. "Seeing" is the
understanding of the Divine Plan, the recognition of the harmony, and the
seeing of the Christ in his 'return' implies the change in consciousness which
alone makes it possible to recognize the Messenger of God.
physical being of an incarnation of God there stand the mighty and vast powers
and planes of other worlds which none can perceive but those whose eyes have
been opened by the purification of the second death - the death of the ego.
There are many who claim to be the messengers of the new way, who claim to
have the power to integrate and unify all the worlds religions but they
inevitably fail because the true force of unification comes only when one
rises above the conflicting doctrines and half truths of the past and is able
to establish his consciousness in the realm of the Integral Realization. Thus
the true synthesizing knowledge is not based upon the ability to pick a piece
here and a piece there and tie these concepts together calling it synthesis
but rather one who reveals a greater face of Truth which of itself sets each
other piece in its rightful place. It embraces the past but only because it
reveals at the same time, that which lies far beyond it. Thus the true
messenger is known by his or her capacity to bring down into the earth
atmosphere the greater truth of the times, a truth which shows itself as
having issued forth from the realm of the eternal, the timeless and the
infinite.
