Book Description

Here today -- but where tomorrow?

Frank and Joe have gone hunting -- but instead of sniffing out wildlife, they're out to find the Wilkersons. Darren Wilkerson, the Hardys' classmate, and his family were living in Bayport under the safety of the Witness Protection Program -- until someone found them out. Unable to get in touch with the government, the Wilkersons were forced to flee without its assistance. Now Darren and his family have made it to Canada, but they're not yet out of the woods.

The Hardys quickly arrive on the scene to help. But just when they're hot on the Wilkersons' trail, they get caught in a trap. Can Frank and Joe escape in time to save the Wilkersons from their predators?

4.0 out of 5 stars Tommy's Book Report, December 13, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hidden Mountain (The Hardy Boys #186) (Paperback)
Chet Morten one of the Hardy's friends gets a shortwave radio message from Hudson Hope, Canada, from an old friend Darren Wilkerson. See the Wilkerson's had to move all of the sudden and no one new why or what had happened to them. When the Hardy's got to the house in Hudson Hope they found that nobody was there. Then while they were searching for clues when they heard two men walk inside and they ran and hid in a nearby closet. They divised a plan to sneak down the drain pipe and to run to their car, while they were in the middle of gowing down the two men heard them and ran after them Frank Hardy made it safely down the pipe but Joe jumped out the window and landed face first. Then they started running from the two men and the two agents cought up with them and finally took them down. Then they Hardy's showed them their badges and the two men said, "Hey your Detectives to", the Hardy's of course said yes, then the two men should them there badges, and then Frank Noticed something very odd about them and whispered it to Joe, and then Joe said,"Do you think that their phonies".

4.0 out of 5 stars A Tall Order, March 13, 2007

John P Bernat (Kingsport, TN USA) - See all my reviews
(VINE VOICE)    (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Hidden Mountain (The Hardy Boys #186) (Paperback)
Now, think about it: how easy could it be to hide a mountain?

You could hide a coin. You could hide a car, even. You could hide a cow. But hide a mountain? Wow.

That's a tall order.

Now, perhaps the context matters. As you read the book, you realize that the term "hidden" is not used in the meaning that the mountain is not viewable. Instead, "hidden" means that an alias had been attached to a very visible mountain for many years, and that its true name (I would not spoil the book for you by revealing it) had been hidden due to a bureaucratic mixup at the Canadian equivalent of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Great story!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hardy Boys Hidden Mountian, April 19, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hidden Mountain (The Hardy Boys #186) (Paperback)
I read the book Hardy Boys: Hidden Mountain. I would rate this book a 9 because it was good but there were some boring parts to it. The main characters are Joe and Frank Hardy and the Wilkersons. I read this book because I read some other Hardy Boy books and I enjoyed them.
