5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT August 8, 2010
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Length: 1:55 Mins
This game has beautiful visuals that draw you in to the scenery. My video shows scenes from the game, and I offer answers to the first ten puzzles. So if you don't want to know the answers don't watch my video. In the game you are a corporate business person and you find your life stressful and tedious. But you keep having frightening visions, strange images of fire and blood and of places you have never been and people you have never met. In order to clear your head of these strange daydreams and give yourself a vacation you travel to see your aunt in Savannah Georgia. When you get there, she's gone, and you begin to have the visions again.

The attention to detail in this game is excellent, the from gothic images and rooms in an old victorian mansion to an eerie tarot shop with mystical puzzles, to a 17th century cathedral, and more.., you travel into the strange visions you are having and get pulled into a frightening mystery as you try to figure out what these nightmares mean. The music is excellent as well, a dark moody soundtrack laced with resonant chanting and strange sounds.

The game contains various puzzles you need to solve in order to advance, as well as occasional hidden-object scenes in which you have to locate items that will help your progress in the game. I found the puzzles to be relatively easy. It only took me a few minutes to figure out each one.

The game has a "skip" button during puzzle scenes, if you find them too hard to solve, but that probably won't be necessary. Besides, the puzzles are fun and they make the game more intriguing..., and that button becomes a "tips" button during other parts of the game to give you advice on what you need to do if you get stuck.

This game ran without any problems on my Windows XP system.

Great game! Not too hard and not too easy.Mini-games are not time consuming and can be solved with minimal brain-power. I would re-play this game again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Game Play/ Rushed Ending July 20, 2013
Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
For the most part, I really enjoyed this game. I enjoy finding hidden objects, and I enjoyed even more solving the many puzzle games involved, some of which are really difficult but ultimately solvable. You can skip the puzzles if you wish without penalty. This was all built on a story line that had to do with the main character's aunt, who had somehow gotten mixed up with some vampires and had to leave suddenly, leaving her house to her visiting niece. So much for Aunt Rosie. We never find out what happened to her. In fact, while the game is great fun to play, we never get a satisfactory ending to the story. No problem, though. The story is just a device to let you find things and solve puzzles with a wry bit of humor every now and then; it's not as though my world hung on finding out what happened to the aunt or where the main character was going at the end with her vampire romance. I really enjoyed this game, flaws and all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Game is lame February 17, 2013
I bought this game for my 9 year old grandson. He says there isn't any challenge to it. Worse yet, after I removed a the game from the computer a popup comes up every time you turn the system on. I found the directory & files but It wouldn/t let me delete them without administrator access. I feel if I remove a program ALL of the program should be removed. I'll make sure that I will never buy any more Game Mill products

What a waste of money. A big nothing. This game is a big tease and is the worse of the Hidden Mysteries games. I don't want to be a spoiler but its not what you think. Hidden Mysteries: Vampire Secrets

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is great fun for all ages, however, there is NO bonus game as advertized. The copy that I recieved was defective and appeared to be used instead of new. The seller did refund my money. I would have liked to have been able to play the entire game, but did not want to risk getting another defective one.

This one is definitely a bit old school. The graphics are not very interesting and the puzzles are ok. The story is not very interesting.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bought for a friend
She really enjoyed it, but this is based on her thinking that she is a real vampire. I guess if you consider your a creature of the night, this would be for late night reading.
