5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome! January 22, 2013

This illustrations on this are amazing! Fun and bit twisted story with red riding hood in this future setting. One thing I noticed is that the pictures to find don't always match the scene. For example it might show a pristine object to find but the one on the scene is old and broken... pretty cool. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A very unusual and challenging hidden object game January 23, 2013
Verified Purchase
I played "Hidden Object - Little Red Riding Hood" on my Kindle Fire HD 7". I played mostly in the Casual mode, which is untimed, and I matched the hidden objects by their pictures. In the Casual mode, there are no penalties for guessing wrong, and there are unlimited hints, although after using a hint, there's a waiting period before you can get another one.

There's a story woven into the game, although the storyline is pretty murky, but it's obvious that the story takes place in a shattered, post-apocalyptic world. Unlike some hidden object games that tell a story, there's no text to trip up younger kids, but with the muted colors and the grim theme of the game, I'm not sure if young kids would enjoy the app so much.

To make the game much more challenging, play the Normal mode or Challenge mode, where a countdown timer is running, hints are very limited (only 6 per game), and you're penalized for blindly stabbing away at the screen (5-second penalty for each wrong touch). For a change, you can also match objects by words or silhouettes. When you complete a screen in the Normal or Challenge mode, there's a bonus round where you identify as many bonus items as you can in a limited time. One note if you play either of the timed modes: If the time expires, you have to return to the first screen and start all over. If you need to take a break, press the Pause button first, and the timer will stop until you resume the game.

Finding the lists of hidden objects is challenging. Most of the hidden objects are fairly easy to spot, but there are some that are either small, or they're partially hidden, or they're located very close to the edges of the screen. Also, some objects are camouflaged into the background so well that they're very difficult to spot.

3.0 out of 5 stars surprised!!! January 22, 2013

I was surprised because this is the first Difference game that I did not like. It was short and AGAIN....some of the items were half hidden by the list at the bottom. I admit I haven't played any of the Red Riding Hood series before but it seemed like some of the items did not look like what they were supposed to be. I still like their HO games so will still be purchasing anything but Red Riding Hood games.

1.0 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment! January 28, 2013
Verified Purchase
Where to begin...Hidden objects clustered in the foreground; many obscured by the list. Numerous misspellings. No thought given to hiding the objects. And boy, was it short. Finished in just a few minutes. And the story...well, lame is the only word that springs to mind. Glad I only spent 99 cents. Already deleted it.

3.0 out of 5 stars doesn't excite the player February 10, 2013

The app is really kind of boring. I like hidden object apps with a story not one that is just the hidden objects that are hard to see. When doing this type of app it is very heard to find the objects because you can't make the screen enlarge in different spots to help find the objects. Wouldn't really recommend to anyone.

I am in love with all of Difference Game's Hidden Object Games!! Each one level is uniquely designed and artfully difficult with the hiding of each object. I get all excited when there is a new game added.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very cute and interesting
Unfortunately, my eyes aren't doing so well right now so I can't see all the objects. Therefore, I'm going to have to remove it, but sadly because it looks like fun...
