This app is wonderful & entertaining. The stories are cute & witty. I started playing & couldn't stop. I'm 41 & find this game a lot of fun. The really great part is that I can hand it to my niece & never worry that she'll see something inappropriate.'s FREE! This game will have you playing over & over again. I absolutely love it. Thanks DifferenceGames for coming up with a fun app that every age group can enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressive! November 2, 2012
I was very impressed by this game! The story (Puss In Boots) is a classic, revamped a bit for the current generation, but with an excellent twist or three that had me laughing. And I think kids will love it. (The hearts in the eyes - how adorable!)

More than that, though, was the gameplay. Difficulty ramped up very smoothly from pretty easy to devilishly difficult. I played through the first time on Find-By-Word, like usual, and by the end I was really struggling. (There was one foreign word I didn't know, but I was able to guess by context.) Then I played through again on Find-By-Picture. It was a good bit easier, of course, but the difficulty still scaled up nicely with more partially obscured objects in the later levels.

The cartoon style worked great for both the story and the hidden objects. As a very simple example, the boomerang was well hidden, but the shape and traditional cross-stripes made it easy to identify. This also allowed the creator to use objects that in reality would be hard to distinguish (like the printer and scanner) by exaggerating their cartoon qualities. Color helped a lot here - I actually suspect that Find-By-Silhouette may be the hardest mode for this particular game because of that.

There were a *lot* of different objects, and I also noticed that there was a great correlation between the level setting and the hidden objects. One room (with a scanner, printer, ink cartridge, etc.) reminded me of my office. (And yes, my office is that messy. *cough*) The level with the ninja had some great object placement that reinforced that part of the story. The level near the beginning when the sons receive their inheritance was particularly funny this way - the sons on the left are so proud of the random flotsam that their father left them: a thimble and crystal knick-knack and bow and ...

Overall, I had a blast with this game and I highly recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute Game but...... November 11, 2012

It is a very cute game but there are so many misspellings when you go to look for items and even worse, there are words I have never seen before so I had no earthly idea what I was supposed to be looking for! Its quite obvious that whom ever designed this game resides outside of the US.

5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging fun for hidden object fans - 4½ stars November 25, 2012

I love "hidden object" games, and I've played a lot of them on my Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD. I played "Puss in Boots" on my Kindle Fire HD. Puss in Boots is one of the few hidden object games that I would recommend for all ages from kindergarten to adult. Younger kids will love playing in the simplest mode - Nice and Casual - which is untimed, and they can match the hidden objects by their pictures; also there are no penalties for guessing wrong, and there are unlimited hints. The game tells the story of Puss in Boots, and there are some text boxes that a very young child would have to have read to them, but the game can be played without reading the story.

Anyone who wants to raise the challenge bar can play the Normal mode or Challenge mode, where a timer bar is running, hints are very limited (6 per game), and you get penalized for blindly stabbing away at the screen (5-second penalty for each wrong touch). You can also match objects by words or silhouettes, which are much more difficult than matching pictures.

Finding the lists of hidden objects can be challenging, but it's not terribly difficult. Many of the hidden objects are relatively easy to spot, but there are always some that are either small, or they're partially hidden, or they're located near the edges. Also, some objects are camouflaged into the background, and these can be tough to find.

I tried all three modes, but I preferred the Nice and Casual mode, with no time limit or penalties. In this mode, I completed all levels for the maximum score of 12,150. One caution if you play either of the timed modes: If the timer bar runs out, you have to return to the first screen and start over. If you need to take a break, press the Pause button first, and the timer will stop until you resume the game.
