I'm not much of a book reader, but this caught my attention. I was instantly drawn into Cyrus plight. I could feel his pain with the turning of each page. I finished this in 1 weekend. I couldn't put it down. I would love to see a movie made from this. I wish Cyrus all the best in his quest.
I just got done reading this for the second time. It was even better this time around. I am wondering why this isn't national news yet. This is the most fascinating story of our generation.

well crafted tale of intrigue, power and the undeniable abuse of it,
This review is from: The Hidden One (Paperback)
"Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men" John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton
Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi's life has been the result of such abuse of power. The book the Hidden One is a well crafted tale of intrigue, power and the undeniable abuse of it to hide the truth. The story is not new, it's almost biblical, how many of us at one time or another have wondered am I the son or daughter of those that I call Mom and Dad. Some of us dream that we are the son or descendant of a powerful King or a son of nobility, but we out grow them when we get older. In Mr. Nowia-Pahlavi's case, he knew he was not the son of an American serviceman stationed in Iran. Yet circumstances would set him on the long quest to find his true father his Imperial Majesty Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi, the former Shah (King) of Iran. As for the actual evidence, many an official inquiry has begun on less and surely many a criminal has been imprisoned or worse on the weight of factual circumstance Mr. Nowia-Pahlavi's book the Hidden One takes the reader from the municipal orphanage of Tehran to the wildness of Alaska to the tourist destination of Orlando Florida. It takes this world wind journey by seamlessly blending the past expertly woven in a tapestry that could shake the very foundations of Iran's royal family sucession in exile. Nowia-Pahlavi's life's story is honestly told in his book, no doubt the reader will be saddened and astonished, however they will be entertained. It's a great book Good luck to the hidden one, let life shine the light of truth for this man to find his mother and family. ******FLASH FAST FORWARD UPDATE****** A stunning new chapter in the life of "The Hidden One " has taken place. Nowia-Pahlavi's life has taken another road to destiny, he has found his Mother, his Sisters and his Family. The books startling additional story is the beginning of a new chapter for our hero. The story continues and we will keep an eye out for his latest endeavors with reunification of his family. Good luck has been yours, may it always be.

From the moment I picked up this book I couldn't seem to put it down. Infact, I seemed to get sucked into the life of Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi, the son of the Shah. I say the son of the Shah because I believe and know that he is. To read about the author's life was at times thrilling to me. Coming from an orphanage in Tehran, to the United States and then finding out that his appearance and mannerisms are identical to one of the most powerful men at the time, His Imperial Majesty Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. Something people only dream of. However, it also takes you through the pain, suffering and loneliness this man has endured, which was almost unfathomable to read. Reading this book was as if I was experiencing World History with a front row seat.
The Hidden One, by Cyrus Nowia Pahalvi is an amazing and easy to read book. A book that I hope to one day see on the big screen, educating people around the World about his life, the life of the Shah and the life of the exiled Royal Family from Iran. And I can only pray that one day they do what is right, if not for their family, for their country.

I read this book in three very late nights. I couldnt put it down until I just passed out tired. The story jumps back and forth from past and present, sort of weird the first time but after that it keeps the interest high. I cant believe that someone endured this abuse through childhood and still has the ability to write a book. Many people would have never endured the stress of all the author has gone through. I would like for my two sons to read the book but want them to be a bit older due to all of the abuses detailed in the book. I understand why they are there, and the truth is the truth. It just raises the age requirement of the audience a bit. Overall a very good read that I have recommended to friends.
Would it make a good movie? Yes Another reviewer stated that Cyrus has now found part of his family and mother. If so, and the content of this book is proven, a movie needs to be made and the world told this story. The truth has been hidden too long. And it leaves you with the question, why did this happen? More please!!

The Hidden One is a journey of extreme mystery and injustice, guilt and innocence, healing and triumph. The story is masterfully told; it is a deep-dive into the head of Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi as he comes to grips with his own royal identity in a global search for truth. There's something for everybody in this book, even for history buffs and political analysts. Given the global political turmoil of our day, this man has a timely message for us all.

It is an amazing true story full of a mixture of feelings, sadness, happiness, anger. A story that touches any human being's heart. This is the first time I wake up thinking about the story and fall asleep remembering of what I read. I was totally into the book. I really loved it.

A Story for the Ages,
This review is from: The Hidden One (Paperback)
I read a lot in my childhood and have come across quite a few page-turners in my life. Time would seem to disappear, and days would turn into minutes. This was no different with Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi's book, but one thing certainly did strike me when I finished it and noticed that two days had gone by; this page-turner was nonfiction.
In just a couple hundred pages, you are exposed to the whirlwind of what has been Mr. Nowia-Pahlavi's life; but even then, the reader can only catch a glimpse, a morsel. I do not think that I can even begin to imagine what a roller coaster ride this must have been and must be for him, but I must say that my hat is off to him for his bravery and his perseverance. The book itself is genuine. The author does not try to convince the reader; he does not need to. There is no doubt in my mind that he is HR&IH Prince Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi, and I highly recommend this book for everyone to see what such determination can reveal. May he continue to seek the truth and find the answers that were hidden, just like he was, so long ago.

A Triumph of Will,

This review is from: The Hidden One (Paperback)
Dynastic intrigue existed even before the advent of recorded history helped to dissolve some of the mists of the past. It has been a series of sometimes epic struggles between avarice and generosity, cynical politics and patriotism, murder and mercy, tragedy and triumph -- much of it perpetrated with vicious, determined (sometimes desperate) ruthlessness and a lust for title, wealth, and/or power. In the pages of The Hidden One, we see another example unfold before us.
Told in a straightforward, eye-to-eye style, The Hidden One is both intriguing and compelling. I felt as though I was sitting with the author, hearing his story; and I read the book in one sitting -- could not put it down! I "wanted" to believe him; I was compelled to believe him; but forced myself to exercise the skepticism of the historian. By the end of the book, however, (especially after the epilogue) I was convinced that the author is indeed "HRH/HIH" Prince Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi. This autobiography reads much like a classic novel: all the ingredients are there -- cast-away foundling; brutal adoptive father; unhappy childhood; mystery; danger; palace/political/personal intrigue; unfolding realization of self and truth; and most importantly, in my opinion, the tenacious determination of the author to follow his quest to the end, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. This being said, I believe that The Hidden One will also be on the reference list of future historians. It is a story for the ages, a victory of human will over tragedy and daunting forces -- and it is in our time! Congratulations to HRH, HIH, Prince Cyrus Nowia-Pahlavi, The Hidden One. May his courage and determination be rewarded with the entire truth of his lineage and acceptance by the family he never knew.

I'm in awe. The book is astonishing. I read it in two days, I couldn't put it down. How can this be allowed to happen? And to a king?! Mr. Pahlavi has gone through Hell just to discover what all of us take for granted. It's sad. I've imagined a thousand times that one day I'd find out I was royal, but I couldn't pay the price he paid.
