The 4th edition of the Hidden Places of Wales has been extensively redesigned to include a striking cover design and page layouts. It is an easy-to-use guide which covers all 22 counties of Wales. In addition, you will still find details of places of interest and advertisers of places to stay, eat and drink included under each village or town, these are now cross referenced to more detailed information contained in a separate, easy-to-use section of the book. Often referred to as the 'Red Dragon', Wales is a country blessed with some of the most dramatic landscapes in Britain. To the north lies Snowdonia, a land of awe-inspiring mountains, wild moorlands and enchanting lakes whilst further south the land is abundant with deep valleys and vast forests. The west of the country has a spectacularly varied coastline of cliffs, coves and sandy beaches. The cover incorporates a photograph of the Castell Coch (Red Castle), Taff Valley near Cardiff.

About the Author
Educated at Wadham College in Oxford, David was a television documentary director and scriptwriter for more than 20 years, working in the UK and North America. He is now a full-time writer living in the Yorkshire Dales and has published more than 30 titles covering a wider range of travel, leisure and local history topics. Since joining the Travel Publishing editorial team in 1997, David has written titles covering the North East of England, the Heart of England, Lancashire, Cheshire, Lincolnshire, the Lake District, Devon, Yorkshire, the Highlands and Islands, Norfolk, Ireland and Scotland.
