When Galen steals etiquette expert Brittany's cab in NY, he wished but thought he'd never see her again. Six months later he sees her at an auction and he overhears her heartbreaking life story as she's telling it to her friend Nikki and comes up with the perfect plan to get her in his bed for a week. Brittany is talked into going along with Galen's crazy plan, of course to get her biological mother's house but also as a test to see if she's frigid or damaged from a childhood tragedy. This is the oldest brother of the Steeles of Arizona, who's very cocky and in need of manners. I really liked what I read and wished the story could've been longer. Doesn't really come together until a little over 1/2 way through. When introducing a large family, there's just so much to take in but this was a very quick and enjoyable read.

BRENDA JACKSON HAS ANOTHER HIT ON HER HANDS WITH HIDDEN PLEASURES. JUST MEETING GALEN MAKES ME WANT TO KNOW THE REST OF HIS BROTHERS AS WELL; GALEN AND BRITTANY'S STORY WAS AMAZING, I GUESS YOU CAN FIND LOVE EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T THINK YOUR WORTHY OF IT.

I'm a BIG fan of Brenda Jackson and I did like this book alot and I love the Westmorelands and the Steels. But i have read enough of Brenda's books to know that this wasn't the best. I was still excite for the book and as always she teases us with the brothers and who will be possible be getting together. Both characters were great for me Galen was a pretty nice guy but for Brittany's character i feel for her and not knowing her mom and growing up in foster care but i'm glad something good came out of it.

I am a Brenda Jackson fan,but this book was not good. It started off promising,but then I was just ready for it to be over. Brittany was extremely annoying with her constant talk about manners.She didnt like the fact that he kissed her in public. She thought it wasn't good manners to cry in front of him. She talked to him like he was 4 years old. Really? I'm wondering why she even let him touch her at all. Brittany asked him to tell her about his brothers at least 3 times. It was repetitive. Galen seemed immature imo. She asked him what kinds of things he liked and his only answer was sex.He had no character depth at all.
Compared to the other Steele books this was just blah...sorry

First thing in my head oh another Brenda Jackson book about a hot Steele. Sorry but this book just didn't do it for me and I've read enough of Ms.Jackson's books to know that this book just wasn't it. The beginning was very humorous with the way Galen Steele and Brittany Thrasher meet but after that it goes down hill there is a constant reminder about Brittany and how much manners is a big deal for her and then Galen with his "sex only mentality" it becomes really annoying so annoying that I just couldn't finish the book. I'm honestly upset I can't get it back so spare yourself the couple of dollars because this book is not worth 4dollars and change. Ms.jackson really could have put more time and effort into this book. This book got two stars since I made it to the middle but that's as far as that goes.

This is a great read. I thought it was fun watching the characters develop. I especially liked the male lead.

Though I liked the story, it wasn't one of my favorites. First of all I thought the book was way too short. I did like the story line of how they met and the auction, but it seems like the romance was just crammed into 40 pages. I wish that there was more build up in their relationship. I did feel for Brittney because of the circumstances surrounding the auction. I liked how Galen came to the rescue though he didn't know what the outcome was going to be. I can't wait to read about Eli. He sounds so serious. My major complaint was that the story was just too short.

This book's male lead was very strong and confident, and that always intrigues me. He was arrogant and so 'me me me' oriented that when he finally starts to care about the female lead, you can't help but feel like he's grown and developed into the man we as a reader NEED him to be. I didn't like how he attempted to go after her in the manner he did, but in the end did feel that he was good for her. However, this novel took so long to pick up, I almost put it down... well not quite, I mean... it IS Brenda Jackson and she is my favorite!

I AM SO VERY PLEASED WITH THIS LATEST STEEL EDITION, CAN'T WAIT AND LOOK FORWARD TO READING MORE OF THE PHOENIX STEELS. GREAT WORK AS USUAL BRENDA. IF YOU LOVE BRENDA JACKSON BOOKS THIS ONE IS DEFINATELY A PLEASER...

Just so happens that six months later he sees her at an auction. instead of the mean spirited women he assumed she was, he overhears her telling her friend Nikki about her painful life. This prompts him to come up with the perfect plan to get her in his bed.

Brittany is talked into going along with Galen's plan, with motives of her own. I really liked what I read and wished the story could've been longer. although the book could've been longer since it didn't come together until middle, as always i enjoyed the book.

since this one was a short read Brenda can we get a sequel? me and other fans would really love to see one.
