A great start to a series!, October 15, 2001
This review is from: Hidden Star (The Stars of Mithra) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a great start to this "star " series. I can't wait to read the next. I am a true fan of Nora Roberts and love all her novels. I think she is the most wonderful suspenseful romantic writer and I absolutely love her mystery series "in death". I normally don't read the silhouette, Harlequin genre and after reading this I am not sure why. Like a lot of Nora's books it is a series and should be read in order so that is what I intend to do. Bailey is a mysterious women who has a gun, a diamond, a lot of money and amnesia. She hires a Private investigator named Cade to find herself as she only has flashes of who she thinks she is. The story is short and fast paced and a wonderful mystery and romance. It is great for a quick read if you are one who can't put a book down until the end and don't have a lot of time.

Star Series is Wonderful. What a Great Read., September 10, 2001
This review is from: Hidden Star (The Stars of Mithra) (Mass Market Paperback)
I LOVE Nora Roberts books. Bailey has amnesia and she hires Cade to help her find out about herself. With a pile of money,a gun, a diamond worth a lot, a mysterious lady and a man- this mystery/romance is worth the read. I thought it was kind of ironic to have amnesia and hire an PI to find yourself. What a different twist to the typical amnesia romance story. Of course, that is why I Love Nora Roberts books so much, because they are not typical. These three were no exception. The one complaint that I would have with these three is that the definately work better if you read them in order. This is very rarely the case with Nora Roberts series. Usually each book in a series can stand alone or be read out of order with little loss in clarity. However, this series seemed to build on each other.

Fast-paced and Fun!, November 28, 2001
This review is from: Hidden Star (The Stars of Mithra) (Mass Market Paperback)
"Hidden Star" is the first book in Nora Roberts' "Stars of Mithra" series and I found it highly entertaining. It kept my attention the whole way through and contained a very original storyline. Bailey walks into Cade Parris' Private Investigator's office on a rainy day with quite a dilemma. She has no idea who she is and has a bag containing over a million dollars in cash, a gun, and a giant blue diamond. She hires Cade to find out who she is and what has happened to her, and their adventure begins there. Cade and Bailey find themselves immediately drawn to each other, and the whirlwind romance they share amidst the mayhem around them is sexy and fun. The story is well-written and does not take the path of a usual amnesia story. If you enjoy innovative and fast-paced mystery/romance, this book will not disappoint. Despite the fact that it is a relatively short novel, the characters are well-developed and also very likeable. This book is just good, clean fun!
