Continue the Sikth sound,
This review is from: The Hidden Words (Audio CD)
It is quite clear this band is trying to sound like Sikth. Not a bad thing being that Sikth is no more. Do they make the cut? YES. Are they better than Sikth? BIG NO. Not even in the same league. At least not yet. Not only was Sikth's music incredible but their Lyrics, Harmonies and vocal structures were down right BRILLIANT. No Mikee Goodman or Justin Hill brilliance here but it's their first album. The other reviewer was correct. Cut them some slack. And I will. This is really good though. If you like Sikth then you will like this. If you like Extreme math-metal/thrash/progressive/hardcore with screaming and clean vocals then I suggest you get this. Being that I heard of Sikth three days ago, fell in love with them in the first 20 seconds and then finding out they quit. Well.....you can imagine my discomfort. But this band fills that void now. I was feeling some type of way for a whole day before finding this band...LOL. I Look forward to the second release.

I absolutely love this album. If you like sikTh then there's quite a lot you will like with Fellsilent. Similar guitar riffs and solos and similar trade off vocals that are pretty unique. This was an incredible album but really it can't live up to SikTh unfortunately. I am almost positive this is their first release so they have some things to learn that I won't harshly criticize them on.. I'd say the only thing that brings this band down is the clean singing. It wasn't bad but I'd say it didn't fit as well as SikTh's clean singing.

Very good Album released on an awesome label. If you havent checked out sumerian records you should. I would say this album could have been stronger vocally. My main complaint is that the vocals are weak. The music is awesome very meshuggah like but a little softer with more like chill parts with some clean singing. Id say its a love or hate album. Youll either understand their music or you wont. If your a fan of meshuggah, veil of maya, after the burial, and tech metal you should check it out.
