Lush Pictures for Teaching,

This review is from: Hidden Worlds: Looking Through a Scientist's Microscope (Scientists in the Field Series) (Paperback)
Beginning a lesson with an interesting non-fiction book is a great way to hook students into upcoming curriculum, so I am always on the lookout for visual texts. As the school wide chair of a large middle school, I constantly review products that I believe will motivate students. This book offers some beautiful photography, which my students enjoy, as well as some interesting non-fiction excerpts. I recently shared this text during a professional learning presentation on using non-fiction works to motivate student readers. It is a great addition to my school and classroom library.

This book is absolutely gorgeous! I have not seen "weird, yucky" things in such a different light. I'm glad that someone took the time to compile this book. It also helps that my Science Geek Spouse Loves it too lol

This book provides great ideas and instruction for creating lessons for all students in the classroom. I have used more than a couple.

Contains a few interesting pictures but not much of anything else. This is mostly just a self serving bio on some guy who enjoys looking through a microscope
