An all new animal for use alone or with the other Hide and Seek animals. Use the Seeker wand to track down and catch this elusive Monkey. Lights flash to show you're getting warmer and the Seeker will sound when the Monkey is near. Requires one 9V and two "AA" batteries, included.

Product Description

Switch the Tiger on and hide it indoors or out. Then turn on the Seeker wand and use it to track down the hidden Tiger. One red light means you're within 20 or 30 feet of the tiger. More red lights will light as you get close and begin to flash when you're pointing the Seeker at the tiger. When the wand starts beeping, LOOK OUT! The tiger is very close. Can you catch it' Hide multiple tigers and see if you can find them all. Give everyone a wand and see who finds the tiger first! There's no limit to the number of wands and Tigers that can be used together. Hide and Seek Safari has won the following awards: National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, parenting Seal of Excellence, Creative Child Seal of Excellence and NAPPA Gold seal. This is a neat toy. My 6 yr. old could handle it well, but not the 4 yr. old. One drawback is the first red light, which is supposed to tell you the tiger is in that room, is not accurate. Any table lamp and many electric plugs turn the first light on. So you have to take that with a grain of salt. Only when you start getting multiple lights do you know you are on the right track. Another thing is the tiger is much larger than I expected and the sensor on its stomach has to be exposed for it to work. Result is my younger one looked visually for the tiger instead of using the wand and quite often found it because she could see it. We have only used it a few times, so I can't speak to how well it will hold up.

I can't understand the good reviews on this toy it works horrible. The lights flicker all the time so you don't know what's going on with the wand and to find the tiger you must be 6 inches from it. There is no way a child with a short attention span could like this toy let a lone one who is patient because the wand doesn't light correctly. I tried new batteries and tried it outdoors and it just doesn't work like it says it should.

This product is rated 4 and up. My two year old loves this toy just as much as my almost 4 year old. We have two sets as they ended up being cheaper to buy two sets instead of one set and a wand. The concept is simple. Hide the tiger and use the wand to find the tiger.
The wand has 5 possible light areas and if you are far from the toy it will show one light as you get closer and are going in the right direction more lights light up. Once you are in close vicinity to the toy it makes an annoying beeping noise. My 2 year old has no clue how to read the wand but she will wonder the house until she hears the beeping noise and then tear everything apart until she finds the tiger jumping up and down all excited. My almost 4 year old has the concept to the point and the 5 year old we babysit has no problems following the wand to the toy.
The responses on this toy is "Absolutely the best toy ever" (4 year old), "Too much fun and tiger is scary" (2 year old), "I need this toy at my house" (5 year old we babysat), and "it's hide and seek with noise" (husband). The kids love it I get a lot done as they are willing to take turns to see who hides it and so far it has worked well under blankets ( only let them partially cover it) In bathrooms with the door partly open and on different levels of the house. I highly recommend this toy and I can see why it won so many awards!!!! (the tiger does look mean and is hard like the normal jungle plastic figurines. He has been thrown, dropped, fell down the stairs and is still ticking. I will update my review in 6 months to let you know how well it has held up. Hope this helps!
