Hide-and-Seek (Max and Ruby)
My toddler is crazy about this book. We initially checked it out at the library and she could not keep her hands off of it. She demolished it, so we bought one and kept theirs. She loves to play hide-and-seek, so of course she loves finding Max. It's a great hands on book, but a bit expensive and a few of the flaps are flimsy (but they can be taped back). I recommend this product if you are looking for a fun, large, hands-on book.
Advice: Not to be left unattended with a toddler.

The Hide-and-Seek Max and Ruby book was a great purchase. I have a 3 year old who loves Max and Ruby and we have read this book over and over since he got it for Easter. It's a pretty basic storyline, but it is illustrated beautifully and has numerous lift-tabs on each page making the child actively look to find who is hiding (Max or Ruby). Thumbs up!!

We loved reading this book together. My 2-year old son had great fun "searching" for Max under all of the tabs. Illustrations look 3-D!Offers lots of tabs on each page throughout the entire book. My son is really into hide-n-seek right now and Ruby does the whole "ready or not here I come" call. Even Ruby gets a turn to hide at the end of the book. My son kept playing with the book long after the story was over. Very good for fine motor coordination because of all the flaps. Encourages children to look beyond the expected. The pictures are scenes from outside/inside and you get to lift tabs to look in trees, flower beds, doors, windows, drawers, cabinets, under rugs, under beds and much more. This book is definitely a keeper and worth having in your collection!!

Excellent flap book. My son loves to lift the flaps while searching for Max. Interactive and keeps the child engaged.

My 2 1/2 daughter loves this book!!! There is not much to read, it's just about Max and Ruby playing hide and seek. But it captures her attention and she reads it by herself. There are so many flaps to uncover! Great buy for a Max and Ruby fan!

All Max and Ruby books should be within reach of infants, toddlers and small children. Delightful!

My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves this book. She loves Max and Ruby and the fact that you have to find them is even more exciting. She will open each and every little window everytime she opens that book.

The first editions of the Max series (Very First Books - 1979/1984) are wonderful. Unfortunately, the following editions are not as whimsical. It's worth it to look for the older books.

My 3 year old daughter absolutely LOVES Max and Ruby and this book is her favorite. On Nick Jr there is a game that is similar so the book is a wonderful replica of it. She knows where Max is all the time but she lifts every single flap to tell me whats underneath all the other flaps. She opens the Max flap last everytime. As with all flap books sometimes little fingers get a little wild and pull to hard and rip it but nothing a little tape can't fix.

Both of my sons, one 4 and other 2 love this book. Both love looking for Max.
