5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent combo of goth and industrial sounds
This is a great album for those who enjoy a moody, dark sound. It includes what I would call goth and industrial/electronic bands. Some of the familiar ones are KMFDM, Miranda Sex Garden, Fear Factory, and Godflesh. It is a bleak combination of dark, spooky gothic sounds and some good industrial thumping. It also contains three classical/choral pieces from the movie...

It also contains three classical/choral pieces from the movie which are beautifully haunting. This is a good album, period, but especially for a soundtrack.

I liked a number of the tracks so well that i decided to buy the soundtrack. A very pleasant mix of some real hardcore heavy metal besides orchestral tracks and choir. Good to listen to even if you heaven't seen the movie!

5.0 out of 5 stars first great dark sndtrk!, June 17, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hideaway (1995 Film) (Audio CD)
being the person who i am, i LOVE dark hardcore music, but, i'm versatile at the same time. i HIGHLY recommend this cd to anyone who likes dark metal that levels and drifts throughout the cd to softer tones, what sounds like remixes at the end, but, one track is almost operatic, but, not. it ends quite nicely. you can find these songs ANYWHERE on the net. the sndtrk is WAY better than the movie for sure. it's not for everyone. it's the first sndtrk i EVER bought cause i liked the feel of the movie. BUY THIS CD! research the bands before you buy though, i promise if you like what i said? you'll buy this cd. some people don't like KMFDM - i wanna go to hell. i love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dark & Haunting, March 13, 2005
This review is from: Hideaway (1995 Film) (Audio CD)
This album is a blend of dark sounds that totally befit the mood of the film. From KMFDM to Peace, Love & Pitbulls to Front Line Assmebly, the soundtrack provides a sinister and appropriate tone that any fan of industrial music should appreciate.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Treatise on Industrial Revolution ;-), July 22, 2001
By
This review is from: Hideaway (1995 Film) (Audio CD)
Right from the first song, all the way to the screaming final pieces, this soundtrack is an assault on the senses in every way possible. You can almost see the evil that lurks in the film. Fans of Miranda Sex Garden and Trevor Jones would relish the contents. Every song is so different, but so much similar in terms of the theme presented, that it eerily enough, follows the fate of the characters, and their involvements. Beautifully created CD, with the magical touch of Trevor Jones in some of the Angelic-sounding pieces, this is a true must-have for fans of hard rock, industrial, and even Choir singing!!
