This book is a thorough guide to many strategies for lowering blood pressure, dropping cholesterol, losing weight, and becoming healthier overall. It is a thoughtful, well-researched compendium of many research studies, presented in a straight-talk, no-nonsense fashion. It discusses the physiology of blood pressure in laymen's terms, and analyzes many nutritional elements that can affect BP, such as calcium, magnesium, caffeine, and fiber. It also describes various blood pressure medications and their effects on the body.I love this guide; it has been very useful to me. I consult it often. I discovered a reference to the Pritikin program in one chapter on nutrition, followed that, and dropped my cholesterol by 60 points in 3 weeks!!! I'm buying a copy for my mom and plan to show my copy to my doctor, who is very impressed by my new cholesterol numbers!

For less than $5.00 shipped this was in great condition. Looks new and is hardback. It was for my wife and she thought it would be beat up but it was as stated on book discription.
