High Crimes is the best of William Deverell's books, and they're all great. This one follows a couple of Newfoundlanders on a drug deal, and the flavour and personality of the true Newf comes straight through the text. Highly entertaining, exciting, funny and, I suspect, more accurate than most of us realize. A book to be read again and again.
