I bought a twin over queen bunk with a trundle in solid Maple directly from the manufacturer. It was about $1500. I had no difficulties putting the bed together. Pretty simple instructions and the build quality is nice. The issues I had were that the ladder steps were not level and that my mattresses wouldn't fit. It turns out that Riddle makes the interior dimension of the queen size frame at 60" x 80". My mattress is 60" x 80" which means that I couldn't get it to fit in the bed without major effort. (does a 1/2" peg fit into a hole thats exactly 1/2", no!) Now that the mattress is crammed in there, I cant lift the corners up to get the sheets on. Every queen bed frame I have previously owned was at least 62" x 82" to allow room around the mattress so that you can make the bed up. My queen is a Royal Pedic and the twin is a Posture Pedic, both are very standard, common brands.

Similar issues with the trundle, the mattress I have is a short twin. The trundle frame is about two inches too short and I don't have the clearance needed to get the mattress and trundle to slide under the bed. Theres only about 5 3/8" of clearance. My twin is about 8". When I called about these issues I was told that I was the first to complain of this and that they would help me resolve the issue. 12 hours later I get an email saying that if I needed a custom size queen bed for my standard queen size mattress I would have to pay for it. No mention of the trundle issue.

So, as nice as the quality of this bed is, the two guys that make the beds don't stand behind their product. If that changes, I'll make revisions to this review.
