3.0 out of 5 stars Not so intense step mix is more like it November 12, 2010
I wanted to like this DVD, I really did. I like to support new instructors. I also like to keep things interesting by doing step routines with different instructors. This DVD consists of 10 step combinations, alternated with 10 interval blasts. There is a short abs section as well as a short total body toning section at the end.

What I liked about this DVD:

**Tracey's style. She's much more dance-oriented than Cathe Friedrich and Amy Bento, two instructors that I follow all of the time.

**complex choreography. I like routines that make me think and Tracey is a master at that! I still don't have all her step moves down, but I just keep alternating right and left feet and get through the workout.

**music has a Latin flavor. While this type of music isn't my taste, it's fun to do step routines to it for a change.

**teaching style of TIFT (take it from the top). Tracey doesn't spend a lot of time breaking down complex moves, but rather she repeats them as part of the routine. For me, this is a much more interesting way to learn choreography.

**pretty outfits. I normally don't take much notice of what the crew is wearing, but I especially like the turquoise tops/brown pants combination. It's very pleasing to the eye.

**the bonus abs routine is short, but fun and effective.

What I didn't like about the workout:

**the main menu is written in script and it's very hard to read. It's also hard to navigate.

**odd chaptering. I'm used to each routine being a separate chapter. I would even be okay with a few routines being a single chapter. The chaptering is random. One chapter might have 3 step routines, 3 intervals and then one more step routine.

**it's not very intense.
