High Mountains and Deep Valleys has for years been a very simple guide to many old mining communities, ghost towns, wagon roads, many of which there is stills something there to see and enjoy and learn about.

I have had my copy of this book for about 20 years and I still refer to it and suggest it to others. Easy reading and very imformative.

I was able to locate the book very easily through Amazon.com, much easier that I thought it would be since this was my first purchase from Amazon.

I lived in LA for 26 years and wore out a copy of this book traveling Hwys 14 and 395 and into Death Valley. Locating ghost towns, movie location, lakes and all the wonderous places there are to see is made easy and interesting using this book.
