This book is a must have for the small-block enthusiast. Even if you don't modify cylinder heads, there is an incredible amount of cylinder head flow data that alone makes the purchase worthwhile.

This is not the equivalent of a David Vizard book on content, but it is still a very good quality reference for cylinder heads that is very up-to-date as of 2010. It provides very useful data on each head and also provides very handy ways to make practical comparisons between the heads. The photos and quality of presentation are excellent. This book would be very useful to someone interested in building a Chevy small-block and has not yet chosen cylinder heads.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It opened up my eyes to how valve trains work, and how you can maximize their productivity. You can read and re-read over again as you work on your cylinder heads to get the most out of them. Keep in mind this information is somewhat dated, but nevertheless very helpful. I bought 3 books by Graham Hansen (1. How to Build Big Inch CSB , 2 - CSB Cams & Valvetrains and 3. this book).

this book , like no.1 is an excellent read. Rich in content , starts with the theory and then builds on that to explain how the product perform in context to the just explained theory. If you want to build your own engine from scratch, modify existing or simply get educated on the topic , this book is good for all that

I have enjoyed reading three of Graham's books, and all have been equally well written, informative and fun to read.
