High School Bound made a great gift for my nieces and nephews. It is written with the reluctant middle-schooler in mind. It is well organized and the illustrations provide entertainment value. It was a real help and gave the kids more confidence going into high school

What an excellant book. It's written in a style to capture the attention of teenagers and filled with good advice for their success in school...and life. Martin Spethman 'talks' their language and has added humor to get his great points across. I wish there was something like his book when I began high school. Those first confusing days so long ago still haunt me. Not only does he deal with the usual topics one would expect to find, he also stresses the importance of good attitudes and study and living habits. I especially liked his mentioning that teachers were there to help, not just to make things difficult. I am getting copies for each of our grandchildren and suggest other parents and grandparents do the same. Read it first though. It's a joy.
