A war between heaven and hell is raging on Earth - and a hot mess of hormonal fury is raging in Issei's pants. The guy is dying to get some action. Which is funny, since his first date ever turns into a winged monster and tries to kill him. Fortunately, ridiculously curvy redhead Rias comes to his rescue. She's president of The Occult Research Club, a club that doesn't actually research the occult. They ARE the occult - and Rias is a Devil. Rias takes Issei as a more-than-willing slave and begins training him to use magic in battle against the Fallen Angels, the long-time enemies of Devils everywhere. If Issei can improve his mystical skills, he'll be able to help his hotter-than-hell master and her scorching supernatural schoolgirl friends defeat their foes. Even better, he might end up with a few sexy slaves of his own.
High School DxD began as a series of more than a dozen light novels written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero, which was followed by a manga adaptation, this animated series in 2012, and a video game. Issei Hyodo is an ordinary-seeming student at the Kuoh Academy, unaware that the student body includes fallen angels and devils. When one of the angels tries to kill him, he inadvertently summons Rias Gremory, a stacked devil of high rank who saves him. Rias makes Issei a devil and a minor member of the crew she uses to fight fallen angels, exorcists, and other foes. Underneath the theological mumbo-jumbo is a standard-issue jiggle series with a cast of stock characters: sweet nun Asia is the submissive, infantile blonde; Rias, the powerful, red-haired battle commander; Issei, the everyday student-hero. Issei supposedly possesses a noble heart and incredible latent powers that take the form of the Gauntlet of the Red Dragon Emperor. But he's also an underage lecher who literally slobbers over every female he sees. Director Tetsuya Yanagisawa and his crew fail to reconcile the discordant elements in Issei's nature, leaving a void at the center of the series. But fan service fans--the obvious and probably only audience for the series--don't care about plot, character development, or visual style, as long as there are panty shots, bare breasts, shower scenes, and double-entendres, which High School DxD provides in abundance. awesome story if you can get past the nudity and sexual humor. The humor and action remind me of a showtime or HBO showPublished 9 days ago by Matt_Dudley

A much more convoluted story line than I expected from reading the box and other reviews. This boxset covers the beginings and completes the main plot by the end. Read morePublished 1 month ago by J. Loo

|What are the differences between the Limited Edition release and the...||
Yea, I would like to know that too, considering the fact that for be the non LE the runtime is set at 300 mins in the description and 338 mins on the other. Does the other one happen to contain episodes 13-14? If not what are the extra 38 mins for?

|Does anyone else think the english dub will be crap?||
Well for this series Funi has decided to hire new actors with the exception of Jaime and the VA of Issei, since many fans of Funi asked them to add variety in their dubs as they don`t like hearing the same VAs over and over
So I'm hoping the new VAs the best but if I don't like I can just simply... Read More
