A Teen's Review,
This review is from: High School Musical: The Junior Novel (Paperback)
This isn't Judith, this is her son.I have seen the movie MANY times and have the soundtrack, and if you are a die-hard HSM fan, then you should definately add this to your collection of High School Musical items. It was just like the movie except they messed some of the lines up.I also didn't liek how when the songs were written in,they only put the beginning to the songs that Troy and Gabriella sang. They also kind of mixed the lyrics up to the chorus of Get'cha Head In The Game, which you could easily notice when you read it if you know the lyrics by heart.
I think if they are going to put lyrics in,they should put them all in or none at all.I also think if they are going to do the lyrics for Troy and Gabriella's song, then they should have definately put the beginning to Sharpay and Ryan's songs. (What I've Been Looking For and Bop To The Top). We only see the beginning to What I've Been Looking For when-you guessed it-Troy and Gabriella sing it with Kelsi when she reveals how the song was originally written before what I like to call the "Evans Remix".The book was great, the lines were mixed up sometimes.("I love to bake.Strudels, scones, even apple pandowdie." But in the book they put scones, then strudels.)Once again,if you are a die hard fan like I am,then you might be disappointed in that. They also missed some lines, like when Gabriella corrects the teacher in chemistry I believe it is.They twisted it around completely.So..anyway,the book is great as long as you don't mind the occasional line mix ups.I was surprised that they didn't put in the beginning lyrics for "We're All In This Together",which is one of the songs people recognize the movie by the most.

High School Musical,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: High School Musical: The Junior Novel (Paperback)
In the book High School Musical Troy Bolton and his dad were playing one on one basketball and his dad is also his b-ball coach (which I would find very hard!) the way to keep Troy going is "He'll look middle, you take it downtown!" is always what Coach Bolton says to Troy. My opinion on this is GREAT because I LOVE the movie too I give them both 5 stars. The drama teacher Ms. Darbus also Troy and Gabriella's homeroom teacher is always a grumpy gills and too full of herself. She feels that no one has any homeroom manners because the class is too talkative when there really not. Her exact words were "I expect we all learned our homeroom manners yesterday?!" If I had a teacher like that I would probably never go to that class or even school! Whenever Ms. Darbus talks it just troughs me off because she absolutely no sense to me like when she says "Musical Arts is cleansing for the soul" seriously she needs to get a grip and not only think about musicals and herself and the drama club members. Another thing that I don't like about this book is how Ryan and Sharpay only think about how they are going to win the musical and that they've been in 17 school musicals and are never going to lose against anybody ever! Then somehow one day all the cliques and groups came together all as one big group. I would recommend this book to anybody who loved the movie!!!

Summer Fun at Lava Springs,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: High School Musical 2: The Junior Novel (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
Say it is the last day of school and your teacher is talking like you have school tomorrow and it is early that day. Then it is almost summer...dinggg the bell rings and you schools out.
Friends from school get a summer job at Lava Spring Country Club. But not Sharpay and Ryan, sister and brother who compete in the Broadway musical. They are members at Lava Spring County Club. As the story goes on Troy 'a guy that plays basketball, sang and likes Gabriella a girl that sang and likes Troy too'. promises to sing with Sharpay and does not want to. Troy starts acting different .Then Gabriella leaves. Will Troy be able to start being himself again or will he be this way forever and will he sing with Sharpay. I like the book because I like how the story is written. I can connect to this because it is summer now and Sharpay has a dog and so do I. High School Musical 2 teaches you to be yourself. Sarah H.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: High School Musical: The Junior Novel (Paperback)
The movie may be geting old, but I still love it. I bought this book from a used book store, and it was great and it only cost me 50 cents. I also bought the movie and the cd for only $10 (used) , and I can not wait untill the second high school musical comes out.

another item to fill the addiction,
This review is from: High School Musical: The Junior Novel (Paperback)
Personally I don't like the movie nor music much, but this is about the kids. I don't mind their love for the movie so the novel is a good addition. They are singing and reading so I can't fault the subject too much. The novel has enough pics to satisfy their addiction. They be HSM experts now, but at least I know they can memorize details. Another plus is that the book isn't very expensive. I don't know how long the fad will last until they jump to something else, but for now the book keeps them happy so that's a big positive.

One of the better 'High School Musical' books,
By
This review is from: High School Musical 2: The Junior Novel (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
A nice 'tween read, this little paperback makes it easy for your child to relive the story of High School Musical 2 without having his or her eyes glued to the tube. It's plenty visual, as it even incorporates the film's dance routines into its plot. For example, here's how it covers Ryan's baseball game:
"Even as the Wildcats tried to explain that they didn't dance... Ryan had them do some baseball moves... Then he turned the action into a high-energy dance step, and pretty soon the Wildcats were moving and grooving all over the baseball diamond. The improvised dance ended with Chad sliding into home plate." With about 100 words per page, this is a book that will last, oh, maybe a day. There are also eight pages of color photos.

bought this as a gift and it was a hit!,
By
This review is from: High School Musical 2: The Junior Novel (Junior Novelization) (Paperback)
Along with the HSM cd I bought this book for my niece for her birthday. She enjoyed both gifts and I was pleased to see her so happy. There was a little mix up with the shipping, so she didn't get it before her birthday. Amazon was so nice about it that they upgraded the shipping to 2 day express. I will continue to order from Amazon.
