High School Musical: Sing it

For this being a product based on a Disney feature film(s) it has some serious drawbacks. The music is terrific. The games, solos and duets are great. HOWEVER, the graphics are horrible--very amateur for a company that has had animated movies for decades. When given the option to sing part 1, part 2 or a mix of them it doesn't tell you if the parts are male or female, lead or harmony, or anything else. You often end up picking the part you didn't want! This could have been such an awesome product--yet it has fallen short!

For anyone who is a High School Musical Fan, then this is a must. If your not then don't pick it up. This game includes all the songs from high school musical 1 and 2, it also includes a few other songs from disney casts that i am currently working on to unlock. It's really fun, the lyrics are all clear and you can sing duet and solo. The game even includes a video clippings of dance the HSM rehersal. There is also a video that breaks down 2 HSM dances so you can follow along. Also the game is compatible with the singstar microphones.

My kids (ages 7 and 9) and I love to play this game! It's a lot of fun singing through the songs to see what extras we can "unlock". Sure, the graphics are not high tech but since that's not a priority for us, we still love it!

Compared to any SingStar disk, this disk is a BIG disappointment!

In particular, while my kids do a great job and sound really good on any SingStar disk (based on the on-screen tone bars and presentation of the words), they sound so bad on this disk, I actually won't let them play it in my presence.

That said, when they do play it (rarely) they seem to like the fact that there are unlockable features, which is nice.

Overall, however, at least if you are a parent, my advice is to avoid this disk!

This is one of those games your kid saids they have to have as soon as it hits the self. Of course if your like me, and want them to stop bothering you about it. You go out and get it. It lasted a week of play and now it hasn't been touched. It is one of those things you buy top dollar for and then when you have a garage sale it is in the sale for a few bucks. Or it collects dust some where in your house.
My suggestion is to do the American idol or the sing star. They seem to be played more often. Maybe because of the songs.
