36-inch wheeled duffle,

We ordered two of these bags for a cruise we were taking. We had never been on a cruise and were told that there was not much room in the staterooms for storing bags. So we purchased these so that would flatten down and fit under the bed. They worked very well.
Several thing you need to be aware of though. 1. If you fill this bag completely, you will be over the allowed size for air travel. For example if this bag was filled to it's dimensions it would cost $100.00 for oversized baggage on US Airways. 2. Filling it only to the maximum allowed dimensions with just clothing for a trip to Alaska put the bags right at the 50# limit for weight. So special care is needed if flying with these bags with all the new airline restrictions. 3. The last thing that was annoying was that the bags would not stand up. If you were wheeling them around you have to lay them down flat. Over all the bags worked out fine. They fit under the bed nicely and all the items that we packed stayed in place in the bags. Nothing was badly wrinkled or crushed into a corner.

I have used this bag on two occassions and the stiching on the outside has started to rip.I t is a big bag which means i used the full capacity of the bag but not extraordinarily so.The weight of the bag when filled is not terribly heavy,about what you would expect from a bag that size when filled,about 30lbs or 40lbs.
I have used high sierra bags before and my main travelling bag currently is a high sierra bag and I love it,which is why I bought this one. Perhaps it is an issue with this particular bag and not the entire line.

I've done a lot of traveling in my day. Been to every continent but Antarctica and used to be gone several months out of the year. So I've had my share of bags. This one pretty much beats em all. I've used hard-side, soft-side and combination bags. I really like this one.
When I first opened it, I was totally impressed by the quality of the materials - the bag material, the solid (not cheesy plastic) wheels, the substantial zippers. Dang, this is well made! When I opened the compartments, I was even more impressed. You can fit a WHOLE LOTTA stuff in this bag. I used it for all my clothes and my portable studio for a wedding. Yep, lights, lightstands, cords, flashes, cameras, tripods - the whole shebang. And that was in the bottom zippered compartment. The top held my clothes, my camera bags and all my other traveling stuff. Now, it was heavy as heck. And I'm not sure I'd trust airport gorillas with my camera gear in here, but for me to haul EVERYTHING, it was perfect. Gonna take this on a plane? Better be a premier member of a travel group or expect to pay extra for the weight and possibly the size. Huge sucker. Going camping? Need a carry all for a remote shoot? This is the bag for you!
